Only found this hotel by chance by walking round the town but what a find it was. The outside appearance is very impressive and the inside lives up to it too. The rooms were very clean and well equipped and mine was very spacious too though the shower taps do take a bit of working out! Hospitality trays are provided... More

This hotel is close to the centre of swanage and has plenty of Parking spaces, we stayed for 4 nights in room 18 a very large sea view room, it was so lovely to have such a wonderful view out of two windows! Lovely comfy beds, tea making facilities and robes in the room, all very useful .. Sadly No... More

We stayed in room 3 for the weekend, it has great views over the rooftops to the sea. This hotel is ailing a little in places but that didn't take anything away from a really pleasant stay. Really nice location close to some great little shops and restaurants.

just returned from a four day stay at this friendly hotel. The location couldn't be better. Situated in the heart of Swanage town centre. The room (16) we had was very spacious and clean and the bed the most comfortable I have slept in in any hotel, Breakfast was a pleasure with a good choice of branded cereals followed by... More

Stayed here in May - lovely old period property not far from the beach. We stayed in the Lodge which was lovely - quiet, relatively modern. We didn't have dinner but the menu did look impressive. We stayed on a B&B basis and the breakfast was plentiful with smiley waiters on hand. We would definitely return if we go to... More

We had room 7 a sea view room. It's very large like a flat! Staff are helpful and very pleasant. The decor isn't to my taste but is in keeping with this beautiful historic building and although olde worlde it's not tired nor tasteless. Spotlessly clean throughout. Charming is the best word for it. Quant English seaside charm. Faultless and... More

I spent one night here whilst walking the coast path. Good central location (5 min walk from the beach) but an oasis of peace and tranquility. Stayed in the Louisa Lodge. Nice, well equipped and clean rooms. Comfortable bed - but a bit too soft for me. Friendly, helpful staff and an excellent breakfast to see me on my way.... More

This was our second visit to Purbeck House Hotel in Swanage. It's a comfortable hotel ideally located in the centre of Swanage. Accommodation is split between the main house and Louisa Lodge. On both occasions we've stayed in the main house. Rooms are a little dated but clean and comfortable. Breakfast is a mix of help yourself to toast, cereals... More

I stay here regularly working close to Corfe Castle. And is my first choice, it is rare they cannot fit you in. The rooms are very comfortable food excellent especially the cooked breakfast.
