We booked into this hotel as it was convenient for the Yeovilton Air Show. The staff were very welcoming and our room was spacious, with plenty of space in the bathroom for washbags, etc (a surprisingly rare thing). There were generous tea and coffee making facilities, biscuits, and bottled water. However on closer inspection there was a very nasty, broken... More

The rooms need some T L C other than that we were very happy. The service could not be better. The food was the best we have had in a economy hotel. The chef is way above the average. Breakfast to die for, dinner menu very, very, good and food delicious. You do need transport location is outstanding but isolated.... More

We have used the Sherborne Hotel several times in the past, to break the journey en route to the West Country. This was our third visit. Despite recent financial difficulties, the hotel seemed to be running quite smoothly. Room rates are very reasonable (one of the reasons that this hotel was chosen), and on this latest visit, we were not... More

Stayed here for one night on our way to Blandford. We had got a good deal for bed and breakfast and after reading the Trip Advisor reviews were under no illusions as to what to expect. On arrival we were checked in by a very helpful, friendly receptionist and were allocated room 222. The room itself was fine, very clean... More

The first thing to say is that the staff at this hotel are professional, kind and helpful. They are working in difficult circumstances but do not let that get in the way of them providing excellent customer service, The hotel is in financial difficulties and so is unable to be renovated. It is a relic of the 1970's which is... More

Arrived with some trepidation due to Tripadvisor reviews. Friendly receptionist allowed us to book in half an hour early and friendly barman had our pints waiting by the time we had unpacked. We had glorious weather and the hotel has lovely large parkland grounds with lots of trees and comfy sunloungers which is where we spent our late afternoons after... More

The reception staff were very welcoming. The room was tired, pealing wallpaper, chipped bath, double glazing panels blown. The bed was very comfortable. My evening meal was tasty but not the best, over cooked Lamb shank I couldn't get the knife into one side, my husband had the same and his was fine. However breakfast was good and replenished efficiently.... More

We had a groupon voucher brought for us from our daughter so decided to give it ago, well on arrival it reminded us of a motel but inside the receptionist was very friendly and check in went smoothly, the hotel is dated and our room was quite big, the bed was a double which with a big husband there was... This hotel is I think a shadow of its former self. I would imagine in the 1970's it was very modern and 'up to date'. Set in a surprising amount of gardens and just off the main A road, this hotel was easy to find but a just a little tired and dated. Room was of good size but very... More
