3night weekend to visit the sites. Excellent for Wells, Sherborne and Glastonbury. Loads of free parking. Spacious grounds. Good sized room if slightly shabby, but clean comfy beds, in peaceful ,lawned grounds. Food good for breakfast and dinner. Staff both friendly and helpful. Could recommend it as good value for money. Only hope it won't become just another Coach Holiday... More

Booked into this hotel last minute so I suspect I paid full rate. Positives, very very helpful gent on desk went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Slept well. Good English breakfast. Not really any negatives but an older clientele perhaps, I had two young children, but it did not matter really. They have crazy golf, giant... More

This hotel is in a very good position. The staff are friendly. Breakfast was great. However it is a little tired and need a lick of paint. The whole hotel is very 70's and a bit of a shabby side. However the rooms are big, the beds are comfortable and the hotel quiet. We went on a Groupon deal and... More

This hotel took us by surprise, when we got to it, we felt it needed decorating, it was in a poor state. Our room, had plenty of cupboard space, but the bathroom was disgusting. The toilet had a wooden seat with paint off of it, the bath had places of rust around the plug hole, the handles, and taps. There... More

We booked into this hotel as it was convenient for the Yeovilton Air Show. The staff were very welcoming and our room was spacious, with plenty of space in the bathroom for washbags, etc (a surprisingly rare thing). There were generous tea and coffee making facilities, biscuits, and bottled water. However on closer inspection there was a very nasty, broken... More

The rooms need some T L C other than that we were very happy. The service could not be better. The food was the best we have had in a economy hotel. The chef is way above the average. Breakfast to die for, dinner menu very, very, good and food delicious. You do need transport location is outstanding but isolated.... More

We have used the Sherborne Hotel several times in the past, to break the journey en route to the West Country. This was our third visit. Despite recent financial difficulties, the hotel seemed to be running quite smoothly. Room rates are very reasonable (one of the reasons that this hotel was chosen), and on this latest visit, we were not... More

Stayed here for one night on our way to Blandford. We had got a good deal for bed and breakfast and after reading the Trip Advisor reviews were under no illusions as to what to expect. On arrival we were checked in by a very helpful, friendly receptionist and were allocated room 222. The room itself was fine, very clean... More

The first thing to say is that the staff at this hotel are professional, kind and helpful. They are working in difficult circumstances but do not let that get in the way of them providing excellent customer service, The hotel is in financial difficulties and so is unable to be renovated. It is a relic of the 1970's which is... More
