This is a lovely hotel I believe if you are staying in the rooms/using the restaurant. However we attended an evening wedding party and thought the facilities - function rooms, garden, bar etc were good and had some tasteful decorations. I don't know if you would find the noise of the disco disturbing if you were staying there but weekend... More

We would strongly recommend staying at this lovely hotel ,the staff were very accommodating &helpful .The food is excellent we noted that local people were using the restaurant ,always a good sign . The 7 course taster meal is amazing The hotel is in a great position within Sherbourne. Easy to walk into the town but having the advantage of... More

We had a double room at the front of the hotel for one night only. Very well appointed and comfortable. Lovely bathroom that made the most of a limited and awkward space. Quite luxurious. At the top of the house we did experience a loss of water pressure for some time in the early evening. Mentioned on checking out -... More

I wanted to take my husband away for a night for his 60th birthday . I received details of several hotels via Secret Escapes including The Eastbury Sherborne and decided to book this hotel. From the minute we arrived to our reluctant departure the following day we had an awesome time - and the stress of everyday life just fell... More

Wow - another secret escape bargain! We have just returned from the Eastbury hotel - what a find! We stayed in Tamarix - it was lovely - looking out over the garden. We booked for the 7 course taster menu - fabulous, although we did see food from the main menu which also looked awesome, we would like to stay... More

We have become quite addicted to the calm, relaxing and slightly indulgent aura which the Eastbury provides staying here at least twice a year for a few days. The lovely gardens - at all times of the year- interesting town, nearby delights of Dorset's coast and country, the ever cheerful staff and the superb food are excellent for refocussing life's... My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights, midweek, in mid-June at the start of the great summer. I had stayed here on my own, several years earlier, and had remained on their mailing list. We had replied to a special 2 night offer to include a 7 course tasting dinner. We had paid an extra £20 each night... More

This hotel had everything we wanted, friendly staff, excellent service, a huge, quiet room, good food, a lovely garden and a quite convenient location. There is free parking at the back of the hotel. I would definitely go again.

Went here with my wife for an anniversary treat When I was booking I noted that noise from the road and the hotel itself can be a problem, I'm a very light sleeper so this would be a problem But I also noted that the Superior rooms are all away from the road and have a garden view, they are... A most delightful hotel with a lovely garden in the centre of Sherborne. We used a Living Social voucher so got great value for money. Staff bent over backwards to accommodate our 8-year-old, giving us a bigger room at minimal cost and cooking him a special meal at dinner and breakfast. The food was outstanding, especially the breakfast - I... More
