Warm welcome, decent sized room, nice view over the gardens. The room was basic (good sized TV though) but comfortable and importantly - clean.
The shower was an experience - very powerful but plenty of hot water. Pool was a welcome extra - as was the very efficient steam room!

We have stayed with two others within the group Lord Haldon Exeter( a big disppointment ) and the Rembrandt in Weymouth( which was OK)

Hotel a bit tired, vbut rooms good and clean. The breakfat was good, if a little pricey. They did have a swimming pool but did not use it. It is very conveniant for Shaftesbury, and hotel staff were helpfull and friendly.
