Just spent a night there with my wife - it was a first class experience! We could not fault our stay in any way. A very friendly welcome, lovely room and excellent food and hospitality. Our first, but hopefully not our last, visit

I stayed in a fantastic room, with rolled top bath, a power shower you could fit a rugby team in,super king size bed decorated in silver and plum with a chaise lounge just in case you needed a bit more luxury. For a special occasion or just for life's for living. Stay in this room. The hotels service was excellent,... More

Reaching the closing stages of refurbishment, the Grosvenor Arms is located right in the centre of Shaftesbury and now has a most pleasing interior and very comfortable bedrooms (the Superior Rooms are particularly recommended). Food both at breakfast time and in the evening was generally excellent whilst there is a very comfortable bar where you can summon your appetite. All... More

Traveled down from Scotland to visit my boyfriends family. Beautiful hotel, free parking nearby and wifi. Rooms were clean and beautifully decorated. Beds comfortable and reception staff were really friendly. The only thing I would mention is that the breakfast wasn't up to much. We had eggs benedict, eggs were overcooked, tried to get the attention of a waitress but... More

Stayed at the Grosvenor for two nights. The Hotel is actually a really nice boutique hotel which has been recently refurbished. My room was large with nice interior. Unfortunately, the was a hole in the bathroom ceiling which was a surprise given the overall new look and feel of the hotel. On the second morning there was no hot water,... More

Room was spacious, clean and at the top of the hotel. There were lots of stairs to climb (good to burn off the dinner). Shower was lovely and over the bath. Coffee device in the room needed a bit of a clean as it initially made tea that tasted of hot chocolate. Helpful staff provided an ice bucket and glasses... More

We chose the Grosvenor Arms for our two night (Thurs/Fri) January break because dogs are welcome. We found it was dog friendly and much more. Our room was great, comfy and spacious. It was on the top floor but we had no problem with the flights of stairs (yet!) and appreciated the views over the rooftops. Breakfast was excellent, with... More

This is a great place to stay and, based on us walking around the town, the only real option. A beautiful spacious room with a great bathroom and huge bed, lovely bar and great restaurant. Staff were friendly and helpful. A great weekend break from London

We loved staying here. Good staff, great room (12) good comfy bed. Shower was over the bath but no big deal for us. Had a few drinks in the bar, very nice too. Dinner, had the pigeon breast, pizza and the beef burger. All good too. Absolutely loved the tribute to Marilyn Monroe in the gents toilet, worth a look.... More

I returned to this lovely hotel for a 2 night stay over the new year and our stay was as good as our last visit. The room was clean spacious and well presented. We were welcomed by the staff and given info to help us during our stay. Our Breakfast on both days was sufficient to take us through to... More
