This is a wonderful B&B - cosy, warm, comfortable, with all the amenities you could possibly want (and a few you might not have thought of but find that you are delighted to have!). Joan is an amazing hostess - nothing is too much trouble, whether it's cooking a really early breakfast or making sure that the house and your... More

On our long journey to Cornwall for the half term break we hit disaster an hour into our travels when my husband's alternator died on his van and we broke down. The prognosis was not good and with our 5 year old twins and 14 year on board old we found ourselves stranded in a military museum car park at... More

A few of us stayed here for the weekend expecting nothing more than the usual b&b experience. How wrong we were! Nothing was too much for the lovely lady who owns this place. Without asking we had champagne flutes given to us when she realised we were drinking champers, plates heated in the oven when we were having a takeaway...Twenty... More

I can say that this is the best bed and breakfast establishment that I have stayed in. The owner was lovely with lots of local information. The room and bathroom were really comfortable, clean and fully equipped with everything you would expect.

Had three night stay, clean, comfortable and a huge breakfast to set you up for the day, the breakfast menu gives a range of choices which should satisfy any palette. Its location is close enough to the town centre to walk, yet near to the A35 for those that wish to go further afield. Will definitely return.

Our room was delightful. Sunny and fresh with a fully (and I really mean fully) equiped en suite. The owner was very friendly and obliging and gave us a list of things to see on our way to Cornwall. Could have stayed another night but had to move on. It was a good price but not budget class, as all... More

This was the best B & B we stayed in during a week's touring southern England. We had a large comfortable room in a quiet street just a mile or so from Dorchester town centre, and an easy approach off the by-pass. Breakfast was excellent with extremely good choice, and the hosts were most welcoming. Recommended without hesitation.

We were fortunate enough to have rung the Aquila Heights guest house just as they got a cancellation. It was our first time staying here, the guest house is lovely, well presented and clean. The breakfast menu is second to none. Joan is very accommodating, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We could not thank her enough for all... More

To tell it right from the start: This was the best B&B I've ever been a guest in! Everything was just wonderful: My single room was spacious, lovely furnitured and spotlessly clean (as was my private bathroom with its copious supply of toiletries, shampoos, shower gels etc.). The window of my room was beautifully framed by tinted leaves and offered... More

Only stayed here one night but from being met at the door to checking out everything was spot on. There were so many things which were very welcome it was difficult to take it all in, from extra tea bags of all types and flavours on the first floor to a very large range of shampoos etc in the shower...
