We have just got back from our 4 day stay, and I really cant express enough how lovely this BB is. The room that we stayed in was the attic room light and fairly large, with a lovely balcony over looking the lovely garden as for the food there was enough to set you up for the day We have... more

This b and b is situated in the quiet village of Winfrith Newburgh, the hosts John and Mary made us most welcome to their home. We had the upstairs room, which has its own staircase and quite private to the rest of the house. The rooms were very clean and tastefully decorated. We were amazed when we walked into the... more

We made a last minute booking on a recommendation from a friend. We couldnt believe our luck, when we saw our room. We had the upstairs room, with king size bed, and comfortable settee for relaxing on. The shower room was great very large and roomy with very nice bespoke furniture. The deck outside can be lit up at night...overlooking... more

We stayed at Winfrith b&b for one night in November. We were shown to our room which was very large, clean and light, with a great balcony with little lights on the decking (unfortunately it was too cold outside to use the balcony!). The bathroom was also very big and clean, with a large shower. Breakfast was very good –... more

John and Mary's B&B in Winfrith Newburgh really is a little bit of Heaven in Dorset. From the stunning upstairs balcony room overlooking the garden, the immaculate decor, furnishings and cleanliness, the spacious en-suite shower room, the excellent full English breakfast, to the wonderful, friendly, polite hosts themselves. Perfectly situated for visiting nearby Monkey World and exploring the south Dorset... more

Our room was huge and overlooked a superb garden. The local pub was within walking distance and had great meals. The coast was just 5mins drive away and the best we've seen in England. John and Mary's service and BREAKFAST was just fantastic. We'll be coming back! Richard and Michele more

My husband and I have just returned from a long weekend to the Dorset countryside and Monkey World. We stayed at John & Mary's B&B in Winfrith Newburgh.....what a treasure of a place! It is spotlessly clean, with lovely linen and towels, which are constantly being changed for you. The upstairs room is particularly lovely, with a super deck area... more

We stayed here over the May Bank Holiday. The accommodation is excellent. We stayed in the attic room, which is fabulous, and our friends stayed in the ground floor room which is smaller but equally as nice. The added bonus with the attic room is the wonderful balcony which overlooks John and Mary's beautiful garden. It is perfect for sitting... more

We have visited Winfrith Newburgh many times and always receive a warm and friendly welcome from John and Mary at 29 School Lane. Their modern home provides excellent bed and breakfast facilities. On different occasions we have enjoyed staying in either the large upstairs guest room with its spacious en-suite bathroom and balcony providing views across the village and Dorset... more

We have stayed in many bed & breakfast places and this is one of the very best. The rooms are beautiful with lovely bathrooms crisp linen and soft towels. The garden is lovely and John & Mary made us very welcome inviting us to use it. John cooks a fantastic scrambled egg breakfast and we wished we were staying longer... more
