A wonderful place in a wonderful place. We stayed in the splendid Balcony Room and Ashley proved to be the perfect host. We had the best breakfast ever and then walked it off by exploring the Iron Age fort on Eggardon Hill - an absolute must for any visitor!

We stayed at the West Compton Manor Bed and Breakfast for two nights. What a delight!!! This lovely B&B is nestled in a beautiful part of the countryside of England south west of London. The home is so welcoming and the minute you walk through the entrance you feel at home. The host, Ashley Stewart, went above and beyond to... More

Stayed here via sawdays two weekends ago for two nights. Beautiful house, in an excellent location, a short scenic drive through rolling landscapes from the better scenes of the Jurassic coast, and returning after a day trip to total tranquillity and charm of the house. And then that breakfast, Ashley the owner asked us in advance what we liked, and... More

We needed somewhere to stay to recover after Camp Bestival. I found this place on Sawday and it looked nice. This is not a little B&B! It is a manor house, with a host who is a real character, who can also cook. (He also makes a mean gin and tonic.) Our daughter likes fossil hunting so we wanted to... More

This is the quintessential English Country House complete with charming host who makes you feel really welcome. What a beautiful setting! Spacious and pretty rooms make for a wonderful stay and my children loved it. We will certainly be returning.

I came across West Compton Manor via the Wild Garlic Restaurant website (which we couldn't get to in the end as it was closed!) and so pleased we decided to stay there - we had a great couple of last minute nights' away just before the Jubilee Weekend. It's a really elegant manor house that still manages to feel homely... More

The manor is a fabulous place to stay for somewhere quiet and off the beaten track. The hosts are very accomodating and the breakfasts are sourced locally and are lovely and cater for most, inc vegetarian, tastes. The accomodation is first class - comfy beds, lovely well equiped rooms & outstanding bathrooms. This was our third stay so we can... More
