Warm welcome from Jim on arrival. Lovely cosy cottage set in a quiet country lane with view of green prairie from room's window. It has a well design garden where you can seat and relax after a full day adventure. Room is bright and clean, well equipped with only drawback of weak shower. Evening meal and breakfast is exceptional quality,... More

This Restaurant with rooms is set in a country location. The Food is excellent as is the accommodation. Our room was well appointed and very comfortable. Dinner begins with drinks in the lounge before going into the heavily beamed dinning room. As with the evening meal the breakfast was first class with an excellent choice. We look forward to returning.

Enjoyed a nice meal here, quiet setting in Hardy country and well worth a visit. Will definitely return dont think you can say fairer than that. They also have rooms although we didnt stay. Trip Advisor wants me to write 200 characters so now I am just waffling!

Not much we can add to the previous glowing reviews of this place. Peaceful is probably the first word one thinks of when entering (and leaving) this little Hamlet a few miles from Dorchester. The cottage (it's actually a bit bigger than a cottage) is beautifully presented and the hosts are most welcoming. Our room was surprisingly spacious, spotlessly clean... More

I stayed here for one night, I shared a twin room with my sister which was small but cosy and comfortable. We had a bathroom with a shower that was hot but not too powerful and plenty of toiletries. Breakfast was lovely in the morning, with plenty of choice. Cereal, fruit, yoghurt, and cooked items including full english breakfast items... More

We came across Yalbury Cottage via a web search and how lucky were we! The only small thing was the showers were only the 'over bath' type with little pressure but thats it! This is a beautiful quaint B&B and what makes the stay especially good is the food. They have an exquisite restaurant which they open to the public.... More

Stayed for 3 nights for a wedding with the family. Is an up market B and B. Very comfortable, breakfast and dinner wonderful and owners and staff delightful. Nothing was too much trouble. Would thoroughly recommend.

We had pre dinner drinks and canapés in the pretty garden on a lovely summer evening before going indoors to the restaurant for a wonderful meal. The food was delicious, the staff were charming. Most of the food is locally sourced and beautifully presented, this was our first visit and I can't wait for our next one! A really lovely... More

Three days at Yalbury cottage is three days in heaven. The grounds are exquisite and inviting, the rooms are charming and the staff bends over backwards to make one's stay memorable. Nothing is too much to ask for. This was our second stay here and this time we decided to go for for the full dinners every evening. Great decision!... More

This is not a luxury hotel and it would be a mistake to rate it against that standard. But it is a very comfortable place to stay, in delightful countryside not far from Dorchester, where the rooms are spacious and contain many nice touches - home made biscuits with real coffee and fresh milk, the fastest wifi I've experienced in...
