Stayed here at the last minute for a business trip and initially wasn't impressed due to having no onsite parking, however, there is a very cheap Pay and display only a few minutes away. Once I'd got past that frustration and check in, the hotel couldn't have been better. Very friendly welcome by Melz, shown directly to my room and... More

Just the one night stopover on business. Located centrally and handy for anywhere central in Dorchester. Travelling by car, I was a little reluctant about my choice of Westwood House but arriving after 6pm I was able to park across the road for free until 8am - and even then the parking is not extortionate or designed to put you... We stayed in the family room back in April, our children are 7 and 5 and we booked one night as we were attending a wedding on the Saturday and a family lunch in Weymouth on the Sunday. We usually stay in hotels and hadn't stayed in a B&B for sometime. Westwood House is a beautifully decorated house and the... More

We stayed for 2 nights in this delightful guest house. Melz welcomed us and showed us to our room at the front of the building overlooking the main road. I was concerned about road noise but the secondary glazing was very effective. The room was nicely decorated and furnished with a good selection of drinks and a fridge in which... More

Friendly accommodating hotel. Nice facilities. Wonderful breakfasts. We stayed here for 2 nights, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great central location, walking distance to everything. The hotel doesn't offer parking. There is a pay lot just down the street, Have change as it doesn't accept cards.

We had a wonderful stay here. Feels like being in someones (big) home, with a truly warm and unique house and room interiour. The service was excellent and we both felt welcome from the very beginning. Also, make sure you don't miss out on the breakfast as it was really good. We had Eggs Benedict and Eggs Royale, both of... Tom and Melz made us feel very much at home here from the moment that we set foot in the house.Being animal lovers we were overjoyed with the two dogs (and the book of photos about them) and every morning, at breakfast we had the cat wandering around to see everyone and purring contentedly. Food was excellent, there is no... More

Spent 3 nights here using it as a base for exploring the nearby coast and countryside. It is well positioned in the town with local attractions and amenities within walking distance. It is on a busy high street but even though we had a front room the secondary glazing effectively blocked out the noise and the quiet modern fan provided... More

We visited the Westwood House last weekend for a flying trip to a friend's wedding. I cannot recommend enough or compliment Tom and his wife more on this great little place to stay! The rooms are a great size and extremly clean and the breakfasts are to die for. It has a great location in the High Street and nothing... More

Highly recommend this Hotel/ B&B. VERY comfortable bed, nice large king (US size), great location for accessing the Jurassic coast- just a quick 20 minute drive to get to the major landmarks. Excellent location for walking and eating downtown, very friendly service and a really good value. We stayed in room #6 and other similar places we stayed in England... More
