On arrival greeted by very friendly staff who offered good service and advice where to eat in town. Rooms dated but didn't matter as very clean and tidy, and parking facilities available. Lovely freshly cooked breakfast with a good variety of fruit and cereals and served with a smile. We enjoyed our stay and good location for town centre and... More

The hotel is very clean and tidy, but its decor is stuck in the 70/80's era and may appeal more to the older generation. Though that said its good to see real furniture in a room. Received a very warm welcome and this continued throughout our stay. Breakfast was included in the price and was very good. A short walk... More

The Chequers Hotel offers a traditional and homely stay in the seaside town of Bournemouth. Located on the West Cliff, the hotel is just one road back from the sea and about a ten minute walk from the seafront attractions and town centre, and with bus stops directly outside the public transport is on the doorstep which is beneficial for... We did a one night stay. It was ok. The hotel is clean and tidy. You can't say fairer than that. The breakfast was good and the staff friendly. I say staff I only ever saw one lady who was receptionist and waitress and I suspect everything else. The room was either excellently retro late 80's, even down to the... More

We stayed there for one night during the Bank Holiday weekend and really liked the place. The check-in was swift and friendly; the staff was very pleasant and helpful. Our room was of a good size, cosy and clean. Nice bathroom with a good, strong shower; the only slight negative is no shampoo or anything provided apart from a soap.... More

Stayed here to go to a concert at the BIC. Good location, friendly staff and a large car park ( we could leave the car all day & after checking out if we wished). Our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean with tv, tea/coffee etc but no hairdryer or toiletries ( apart from soap). Sadly the over the bath shower... More

We booked this hotel after reading the reviews and were pleased with our choice. Room lovely and clean, bed comfortable, car park and easy walk to the beach. It is far enough away from the noise but with an easy walk to the town. We have been to Bournemouth for the last 5 years for the air festival and have... More

Wanted a cheap place to stay to go to a wedding in the area. This place was cheaper than the budget chains. The room was a good size with a sofa. It was clean and warm. The hotel where the wedding was felt cold so it was nice to come back to this warm hotel. The breakfast was nice. If... More
