I originally reviewed this hotel when I last stayed in September 2008. Just been back for the first time since then. Pleased to report still as good as before. Rooms still look fresh & very clean. I defy anyone to have had a better breakfast anywhere. Also free wi fi provided which whilst this should be the norm is not.... more

A great place to stay if you want to have access to Bournemouth but without being slap bang in the bucket and spade zone. Have stayed at the Avalon Beach Hotel twice now and have enjoyed both stays thoroughly. On both occasions we have had dinner at the hotel and found it to be superb. Was pleasantly surprised with this place. More of an upscale B&B than a 'hotel' as such but all rooms very clean and tastefully decorated thoughout. Very comfortable beds and pretty breakfast and lounge rooms. Good sized showers and bathrooms but water pressure variable. What a briiliant find. It's like a home from home. Rooms are comfortable. Food is excellent, including the evening meals, and the road it is on is quiet. Patricia and Paul go out of their way, to make your stay as nice as possible, and what a lovely couple. They also have a lovely back garden, with rabbits and toys.... more
