A party of ladies, 7 of us, stayed here on 5th and 6th December 2014. One of the ladies was put into another hotel right next door, but apparently still part of this hotel alone which was a hotel for foreign work men. A large group of these men stayed on the steps of the hotel smoking and talking and... More

After reading previous reviews I was somewhat apprehensive about my visit to the Glendevon. However the bed and bathroom were clean. On the many downsides there was many dodgy characters lurking around the hotel. The bar was repulsive which I wouldn't recommend to anyone not even the homeless. As for the breakfast OMG I wouldnt wish it on my worst... More

Normally if a hotel is old, I've found that the owners make up for it in the decor. NOT HERE! It is obvious that they are only interested in making money. Nothing being paid out for trying to improve this shabby place. The beds at least were comfortable and the hotel was clean. Everything else needs changing or repairing. The... More

I came to check in last Friday I was waiting at the desk for about 15 minutes before I managed to get the ladies attentions at reception as she was busy talking in the other office area she asked me my name and then went off for another 20 minutes, I asked her is everything was ok she just replied... Had a 1 night booking, found hotel without to much trouble and checked in to our second floor twin bed room. Overall clean and warm . Fresh linen on the beds and adequate bath towel. The room was spacious though tired looking and the remote for the tv needed new batteries but the biggest issue was the badly fitted replacement... More

We have arrived home today after a night's stay and that is 1 night too long. There was 8 of us down for a night out, the price was good £50 for a double &£30 for a single and location ok. On arrival the first impression was ....ok staff could Ave been bit more welcoming and the reception area stank... More

We paid £32 for a double room with breakfast. On arrival nobody was about except a woman receptionist who did not acknowledge us and kept her head down. The rooms are basic and need repair. The walls are paper thin and the heating needs to be turned down. On a plus point it looks like the owners are making efforts... More

This hotel was like a step back in time to a golden age of seaside holidays and was a traditional hotel in every sense of the word. It was very clean, had comfortable beds and a more than adequate en suite. The buffet breakfast was good quality if a bit lacking in variety. Some of the wallpaper was peeling off... More

We booked this hotel as me and my partner were doing the Bournemouth Half Marathon so just need somewhere to stay that was peaceful and clean. Unfortunately the rooms was overall tidy and adequate size however the rooms are in need of repair and modernization. The ceiling in our room obviously had water damage as the ceiling had not been... You definitely get what you pay for with this hotel. It's got a pretty good central-ish location. In fact, very close to an excellent pub that we found on the same road. The hotel is large and well established, so you won't be bothered and it's got all the expected amenities. The flipside is that the whole place looks very... More
