Staying regularly in Bournemouth to visit family we had been slightly disappointed with our last two hotels but the Lampeter redeemed Bournemouth in our eyes. Well situated and appointed, excellent staff and a lovely large room overlooking the gardens contributed to a most enjoyable stay. more

We stayed here for 1 night and thought it was a great hotel, excellent location, our room (005) backed on to the park and i didnt hear any of the reported noise, altough the town centre was packed with young revellers..lots of stag and hen do's. Breakfast was above average with a full english breaksfast plus self servide to cereals,... more

I would recommend this hotel for it's location, perfect for looking around Bournemouth centre, the gardens, beach and pier. Also I would recommend it for the price. We Stayed in room 003 and it was very nice on the ground floor overlooking the gardens. It was very spacious and had a double and a single bed in it. Kept very... more

I am puzzled what others are saying about this hotel. I stayed a month and had good food and good service for a good price. I stayed in 3 different rooms (including the 'balcony room' #205) and all were well maintained. Management was accommodating, helpful and polite. The only negative is the park is noisy evenings. more

Just spent 2 nights at the Lampeter Hotel. Firstly the lady on check in was very accommodating for us, especially as we wanted as many rooms possible available at midday (family funeral and we were travelling from the north – we had contacted the hotel prior to arrival with our request). Two out of the four rooms were available and... more

Easy to get lost in this tall and narrow hotel, winding staircases and not very thick insulation between rooms, so it always sounded as though people were entering the room! However, this said, it is a very clean, warm and welcoming place to stay. Staff most helpful. Room 205 is, I would think, the best. It is called the 'balcony... more

Booked via local coach company, BB & EM, the hotel has an excellent location in centre of town, and we had a VG room overlooking gardens, the downside of the holiday was the poor quality of the food. more

Only stayed for one night as we were going to the BIC conference centre for a concert. Great location. Nice clean room overlooking the park. Staff were all very friendly the days that we were there. Good value for money compared to other hotels we have stayed at in the area. more

Have stayed in this Hotel for4 months. Began to be treat like one of the furniture. The female owner is very aggresive and has a serious problems dealing with guests. i.e She is insulting. Breakfast is awful and very badly organised. There are better value places in the vicinity. Not recommended. more

We needed to spend Easter in Bournemouth. Most hotels over the Easter break were prohibitively expensive so I wondered why the Lampeter had vacancies of a family room and two additional singles with only a week to go before the holiday weekend. I checked all of the websites I could find and found only positive comments. I rang the hotel... more
