‘Reservations’ system is a joke and effectively non-existent. Don’t assume what you book (and get confirmed) is what you will get. Unable to action simple and advance requests for groups, especially from returning guests. Breakfast and main dinner courses – good with excellent staff Desserts – poor (children’s portions and fruit crumble was 80% crumble. Sunday lunch & dinner menus... More

My sister and I arrived for our 2 night stay which we had booked through another site only to find that the booking had not been passed onto the hotel. The manager Mark was excellent he immediately starting trying to find us a twin room, he spent ages but he came up trumps. Excellent room, clean, breakfast spot on. The... More

Warm welcoming staff. Nice pleasant room and ensuite. All very clean. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Menus very good and an excellent breakfast. All the dining room staff were lovely. The only negatives were air conditioning in ballroom not working properly and the lift not working some of the time- the staff were most helpful and tried... Having an excellent Line Dance weekend break at the Hotel Piccadilly. The room we have is very good with lots of room and very comfy beds. No view of Bournemouth though, just the backyard. The bathroom is adequate but the water to the sink is very slow and the shower is just about right. The lounge, Bar and Dining Room are... More

Booking done last minute, quick and easy with Ann. Check in nice to very good size with new bathroom bedroom on 2nd floor. Night Porter very welcoming, serving in nice bar - lounge. Breakfast first class, my poached eggs was perfect. Thanks to all staff we met to make our stay perfect. Would really recommend this hotel. Jakeman's.

We went here for a dancing weekend and to be honest did not have high expectations. We were really surprised at what good condition the hotel was in and how comfortable. Our bathroom was perhaps a little small/tired but apart from that our room was really good, very clean, comfortable and with little noise from neighbouring rooms. Beds perhaps a... More

We were at the hotel for a ballroom dancing weekend. Our room was spacious bright and clean and had all the facilities you would expect. The ballroom had a lovely dance floor and it was a pleasure to dance on the only downside was the air conditioning was not the best . The food on the other hand was of... More

My husband and I have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Piccadilly Hotel in Bournmouth. It was a ballroom dancing weekend with 40 others on a breakfast and evening meal basis. Negatives: - The room was very small and definitely 'tired'. - On occasion there was a smell of drains. Positives: - Location was good and a... More

The Piccadilly is well known for ballroom dance breaks and I am sure they are all very good. But just occasionally they invite former world champions Ian and Ruth Walker to teach and that makes for a fabulous experience for both expert and non-expert ballroom dancers. My wife and I have already booked for March 2015!! The hotel is pretty... More

A weekend LIne Dancing break at this hotel. Room was a good size and extremely clean, food was excellent and menus varied. Beautiful wooden sprung dance floor and a joy to dance on. Hotel service in general was very good, restaurant and bar staff specifically. I would have given it an 'excellent' rating except for two things... minor but important.... More
