As this is a basic hotel I wasn't expecting a lot but was reasonably surprised. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There were a few cosmetic issues, toilet roll holder coming away from the wall, unable to tell which was the hot and cold taps as the caps were missing or worn. The staff were very friendly... More

We stayed just before christmas. There was a very bad storm and the window didn't close properly so they rattled all night. They must allow dogs as the room below had two dogs out in a pen right under our window that barked all night. Advised the staff but not sure they understood as were not English. Hotel room is... Thank you for you feedback Greenfrance. We would expect all of our windows to be fitted correctly so it is regrettable to learn you were disturbed through the night from the rattling of the window. We can confirm that we do allow domestic pets at our hotels which comes at a £20.00 charge to ensure that they room is thoroughly... More

As long as you're not put off by a reception area closely resembling a rather downmarket launderette and trolleys permanently parked in the corridors for room maintenance this Travelodge is acceptable for an overnight stop. The room we occupied was reasonably roomy, the bed comfortable and the bathroom clean. You do need to exercise some care when booking, the price... More

Thank you for your review Ted_and_Celia. We do expect our corridors and public areas to be kept tidy so it is regrettable to learn that your first impression of the hotel was disappointing. We’ll be sure to make our hotel management team aware of your concerns. The majority of our bookings are pre paid however bookings made using an American... More

We wanted somewhere to stay after watching our team, Ipswich, play football at Bournemouth. We have used Travelodges many times finding some very modern and good value for money with others old, unclean, poorly maintained & poor value. This one sits somewhere around the upper mid point. Check in was quick and the receptionist friendly enough. We had a room... More

If you are looking for somewhere close to the beach, keep looking.. however we have family close to here and stayed 24-27 dec 2013. Great deal, clean, quiet and there is a Toby Carvery which does a great breakfast right next door for under £4. This is a cheap clean hotel, fir for purpose..

I stayed over two nights 24th and 25th December. The price I paid was fantastic value. The Toby carvery is next to it and the all you can eat breakfast was only £3.99 so it is cheaper than a lot of other places.Worth a stay!

We've been staying at this Travelodge every Christmas since 2010. It's a great location for us, being less than 5 minutes from our relatives' house. We also needed a hotel that would allow us to bring our little dog with us, which Travelodge do. As you would expect, the hotel is very basic, but with the necessary amenities - flat... More

Stayed her for 2 nights 9-11 august as part of a hen party with 12 girls in 4 rooms. When we arrived we were told at check in that there was only room for 11 of us! Luckily one of our party had cancelled so it wasn't a problem, but nobody had tried to call us in advance or anything... More
