We have just returned back from a 5 day break at the Newark and can honestly say we have never been made to feel so welcome at any hotel in the UK. We have stayed in 5 other hotels in Bournemouth in recent years and from now on this will be our 1st port of call for booking. The staff... More

We Spent eight nights here leaving today. Words are probably not enough to explain how neat, clean, tidy and friendly this small hotel is. From the start of your stay you will see three gentlemen who are extremely proud of what they do. Always polite and informative and always willing to pass the time of day. Our stay has been... More

We stayed at The Newark for 6 nights from 29th June 2014 and have to say what an excellent place to stay, from the moment we arrived at The Newark we were greeted By David and another Gentleman who both were extremely helpful and polite explained about the car park which was £2 a day which was excellent value for... My boyfriend and I stayed for 3 nights during July. We arrived earlier than the check-in time but the hosts were happy to get us settled in and sorted parking for us with no hassle! They covered all of our queries and were particularly pleasant throughout our stay. However we weren't given the wifi access and I struggled without my... More

Many thanks for taking the time to write your review. My apologies about the WiFi, there is a large sign by reception that reads "If you require Internet access please ask a member of staff for the password" We have stopped placing this in rooms for security reasons and the password having to be changed on a regular bases. Our... More

A fabulous standard single room, larger than average and with a double bed, spotless room. The shared bathroom facilities also spotless and I didnt feel that I was sharing. A quiet location and very quiet at night, no large parties or groups at this hotel. The breakfast room was welcoming, service not too early and a proper full english, eggs... More

We stayed at the Newark at the start of May 2013 for two nights. I’m not sure if I would call this place a B&B it’s more a hotel. We were met at the door and shown to the meeting room to check in. You have to pay on arrival, it was £30 per person per night. If stairs are... More

We are sorry you were confused and do not understand the difference between a hotel and a bed and breakfast but can I assure you we are definitely a bed and breakfast I think the price alone tells you that. We are a converted Victorian town house no lifts just as the photos show you on our web site which... More

We stayed here before between Christmas and New Year and decided it was ideal for our purposes so had no hesitation in a repeat visit. A very good price for very nice rooms. Access to car park is a little bit narrow but put your mirrors in and take it slowly. The owner does come accross a little abrupt at... More

I have stayed at the Newark Hotel for four nights and it was just the best! Room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. People lovely and helpful and breakfast superb. If you're stepping out and turn right, it will you lead to the city within five minutes. The same happens if you turn left but this time it's... More
