Easy to find. The staff are friendly and are more than happy to help. Lovely hotel nice central location. Rooms were nice warm and had comfortable beds. Breakfast was good and cooked fresh. Overall, a great hotel! Would definitely recommend and will be going back again soon with family.

I appreciate some visitors are having good experiences staying here however this was not the case for me. I booked late staying for business on a one night stay. A "budget double " The positives - newly decorated throughout, very clean and crisp bed linen and decent towels. Negative points - tiny tiny room with two single beds put together... More

It was lucky I had 'Harold the Hamster' with me... My family of four, with senior school children booked to stay at this hotel for 3 nights. On entering our room I immediately recognised the issue and looked for a cat to swing, but knowing that the cat would bounce it's head off of the four walls, I knew I... More

Darren, I have already replied to your wife Gayle's review which she posted earlier for the same stay. For your convenience, I have copied it below.... The moment your family arrived it was clear that there was nothing that we could do to make you happy. So we offered you a full refund and helped you to find an alternative... More

I was a little sceptical when we booked the Applewood hotel, as we normally stay in branded accommodation. But this was a short notice break. We were greeted on arrival by the owner who was very friendly and helpful. Our rooms were on the first floor, we booked a family room and a double for my parents. The room was... More

My family and i stayed with Applewood Hotel last week. The tasteful modern recent refurb was welcoming and the hotel was at its full capacity.Very boutique with its dark rich walls and well positioned shimmering interiors. Charlene and her team went the extra mile at every opportunity and this hotel is well placed in the Chimes for beach and town.... More

To see something from the south coast, we had planned to walk from Bournemouth to Weumouth. We stayed in the Applewood Hotel and left very early. We had a nice and comfortable stay in this elegant hotel with comfy beds in a very clean and quiet room.. We also could leave our heavy luggage in the hotel. The staff was... More

Stayed here with a big group of friends for a stag do. The rooms suited us to a t and the staff were very polite. The breakfast hit the spot too. Location wise, the hotel is great and is neither too far from or too close to the town. I wouldn't recommend staying here as a couple or by yourself,... More

We have just returned from 3 nights stay in Bournemouth, we booked Applewood Hotel on line and we were very pleasantly surprised for the standard of hotel we found when we got there. Newly refurbished to a high standard with great decor. Rooms were small but very clean with a great new bathroom. Lovely breakfast too...overall a really nice place... More

This is clearly the worst hotel I've ever stayed in!! Let's start with the one positive, it was clean. That's it. The family room we stayed in, for 2 adults and 2 kids (aged 15 and 12) was little more than a shoe box. Double bed and 2 single beds in what is clearly a double room. You could barely... More

The moment your family arrived it was clear that there was nothing that we could do to make you happy. So we offered you a full refund and helped you to find an alternative hotel. But for what you wanted it would have costed you three times more, so you decide to stay. After staying with us for the duration,... More

A very good hotel here marred by soime minoir nuisance points. the positives first. 1) old style keys. I am never a fan of keycards and am always surprised to see them (especially working!) so to see old fashiponed keys was a welcome boost. 2) comfy bed. This was a very godpo bed to sleep on. 3) TV, easy to... More
