I'm currently staying here at the Applewood hotel, and it's not too bad. My room is a small but cosy single room on the top floor, and the en suite bathroom is nice enough. Found two hyperdermic needles under my bed!!! tiny broom cupboard for a single room,old furniture.Bathroom across landing,worst place I have ever stayed in. more

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL - NO GUARANTEE YOUR ROOM IS CONFIRMED! Reservation made in March 2008 for a wedding... all confirmed in writing and card details taken as a form of deposit, their wish not mine (I did offer a cash deposit but they refused). All fine at this point. In June 2008, 2 months before my wedding, I... more

It was unfortunate that we had to cancel this reservation however there are a number of inaccuracies that need addressing: The original enquiry was made in April not March, for a booking in September and we were not offered a cash deposit.We contacted the guest on 6th June and therefore 14 weeks is not exactly 'short notice' to find alternative...
