I am only reviewing the restaurant, which came highly recommended. I went there for my birthday with the family and must have chosen an off night. The food was great, excellent in fact but the service was indifferent and slapdash, orders were wrong, then changed but still charged for. Service for drinks was non existent, I had to go get... I was travelling on my own for my 2-night break and picked this place out as it looked like it had a good vibe. The room was clean, the en-suite was pristine and well-stocked and you could watch DVDs on the telly if you fancied it. Everything seemed to have been thought through. I ate at the hotel the first... Me and my boyfriend stayed at the Urban Beach Hotel on a Sunday night. When arriving, the restaurant downstairs was fairly busy but we was quickly attended to and shown to our room. We stayed in room 8. We couldn't hear the noise downstairs what so ever! The room was beautiful and meeted all our expectations. We were given a... More

From the personal welcome on arrival to the genuine request for feedback by email when we'd love, our stay this weekend at the Urban Beach Hotel was an absolute delight to stay in. We stayed in room 2 - a bit more expensive than some of the others, but spectacularly comfortable bed, beautifully appointed room with a fridge and a... More

I stayed in this hotel with my husband and three years-old toddler and we absolutely loved it! The room is spacious, very clean and nicely decorated. The food is fantastic (their beef burger is the best I have ever eaten). Very relaxing atmosphere and the staff is incredibly friendly. Will be coming back next year and will recommend to friends... Food was good and the beer selection was great! Enjoyed them both out on the deck! Wish this was my local... Food was slightly delayed (not sure why) but apology was extended and discount given before we'd even raised the issue! Fantastic experience

My mother in law and frail father in law stayed at the Urban Beach last weekend for one night and could not stop talking about the service, room quality and breakfast. It was all first rate and they rated it amongst the best hotels they have ever stayed in! (they have travelled the world). pillows were especially soft and beds... More

Just stayed for 3 nights whilst visiting family and couldn't have booked a better hotel. The hotel rooms are excellent but what makes it is the staff and the vibe of the restaurant and bar. You don't want to go any where else. Thank you for a wonderful stay we will definitely book again for our next trip. Would also... More

This is what a boutique hotel should be like. Positives- Such friendly staff. So welcoming. Great decor. Restaurant had delicious food and the whole restaurant/bar area had a warm and friendly atmosphere. Free Wi-fi Free parking Negatives- In terms of location, its not in the nicest part of Bournmouth Breakfast served from 8am so if you need to leave early,... More

My husband and I stayed at the Urban Beach Hotel for 2 nights with our little 21 month old toddler, after it was recommended to us by a friend who came to visit a few months back. The room was a little more expensive than we would usually pay, but due to the recommendation we thought we would treat ourselves.... More
