We stayed for two nights over a weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was bright, light, clean and well decorated. The ensuite was well designed with large white towels and all soaps and creams. Rooms were well appointed and very comfortable . Breakfast is pre ordered and was very good, hot and tasty. Fruit and cereals were available... More

I stayed at The Cransley on four occasions whilst visiting my girlfriend, who was working in Bournemouth for six weeks. I can't say enough good things about the place. It has a very relaxing and welcoming vibe, enhanced by the excellent service provided by the owners Simon and Jonathan. Their exquisite taste is reflected in the decor, which gives the... More

This hotel is a delightful find. it was more comfortable than the expensive place we stayed in last year at three times the price. It's so's nice I want to move in permanently; but as they only do breakfast I would have to find a good place for dinner. The decor is very tasteful, the rooms are very clean and... More

Thank you so much for the complimentary review Susan. Like the previous reviewer you were also booked in as an overspill from the Elstead Hotel opposite. We were both thrilled that you enjoyed it and hope that you visit us again. Warm Regards, Jonathan & Simon. More

We travelled to Bournemouth for a Masonic weekend and were allocated the Cransley as an overspill from the Elstead, I was a bit worried because it looked so small on their website so I emailed the hotel a month before our visit and was really pleased to get a quick reply from Simon who said he would allocate us in... Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Once again apologies for the error in the room request. It was down to human error and your name was entered in the next consecutive line. it was only on the day you arrived we realised that the automated online booking system had meanwhile booked another party into Room 5.... Loved staying at the Cransley! On first site the very lovely building took my breath away! The Interior of the house was stunning and radiated warmth and elegance. Simon and Jonathan were the most accomadating hosts with thier wonderful helpers Georgie and Hector! Simon helped me with my bags to the top floor and explained the facilities in great detail.... We arrived late on Saturday afternoon and were very warmly welcomed by Jonathan and Simon, the owners. They were incredibly hospitable and friendly. Then we were shown to our room, and it had an enormous shower (!!!) and one of the best bits? The full size dispensers of soap, shampoo, conditioner and moisturiser. I always like to try what the... I was very impressed with the attention to detail shown at the Cransley Hotel. The accommodation was immaculate; modern conveniences such as flat screen TV and super-fast broadband blended with a traditional furniture style. Everything was very clean and warm, and the rooms were serviced regularly. The bathroom was packed full of goodies such as shampoo, conditioner, moisturizer, cotton pads... More

We've just returned from a week staying at the Cransley and had a very relaxing stay. Set on a quiet road close to the beach and not far from the station and buses, an ideal location. The number 50 bus to Swanage is highly recommended and included with a bus pass. The owners were very helpful and had some great... More

Spent 2 nights on a September weekend break & enjoyed the Cransley immensely. Well-run, good value & attention to detail made for a stress-free stay. The generous, quality breakfast set us up for the day & we had all the advice we could have needed on tap. I couldn't possibly say that the lack of children added to the experience!... More
