We arrived late on Saturday afternoon and were very warmly welcomed by Jonathan and Simon, the owners. They were incredibly hospitable and friendly. Then we were shown to our room, and it had an enormous shower (!!!) and one of the best bits? The full size dispensers of soap, shampoo, conditioner and moisturiser. I always like to try what the... I was very impressed with the attention to detail shown at the Cransley Hotel. The accommodation was immaculate; modern conveniences such as flat screen TV and super-fast broadband blended with a traditional furniture style. Everything was very clean and warm, and the rooms were serviced regularly. The bathroom was packed full of goodies such as shampoo, conditioner, moisturizer, cotton pads... More

We've just returned from a week staying at the Cransley and had a very relaxing stay. Set on a quiet road close to the beach and not far from the station and buses, an ideal location. The number 50 bus to Swanage is highly recommended and included with a bus pass. The owners were very helpful and had some great... More

Spent 2 nights on a September weekend break & enjoyed the Cransley immensely. Well-run, good value & attention to detail made for a stress-free stay. The generous, quality breakfast set us up for the day & we had all the advice we could have needed on tap. I couldn't possibly say that the lack of children added to the experience!... More

We have just spent our second week at this hotel this year. It is a beautiful house, very tastefully furnished and extremely comfortable. From the moment you arrive the welcome is warm and Jonathan is very helpful, suggesting places to visit and nearby restaurants where one can eat. The room was of a very high standard and was furnished with... More

Really enjoyed our 4 night stay at this lovely small hotel! First impressions were good, and we especially appreciated the warm welcome and useful information from Jonathan. Accommodation was very comfortable, clean and well-maintained; the whole house is beautifully furnished. Breakfast is nicely cooked (make your selections the night before). It was an easy walk down to the beach, and... More

What a great find! A beautifully decorated and well maintained large guest house in a quiet, peaceful, tree-lined avenue. We enjoyed a very warm welcome from our delightful host Jonathan who went out of his way to help us regarding places to visit, places to eat, even printing off maps for us. Breakfast was delicious, lovingly cooked by Simon and... More
