the place wasnt what i expected. especially from the website. im sure they must have hired great photographers as whatever it said on the website was definately false advertisement! the bedrooms themselves need updating as its definatley not 4*, or worth its money. i had a room which claims to be an executive suite, but ive been to council flats... more

We had a really lovely 2 night stay at the East Cliff Hotel,we had a lovely room not south facing but the view was to the side which was acceptable and you could see the sea room number 2210 would ask for it again if we returned,it was lovely. The hotel was lovely, modern, clean ,breakfast was super loads of... more

Have stayed here a few times now, and always been lucky enough to get great rooms, spacious, clean, refurbished & modern with sea facing balconies. Once had the top floor 'apartment' style room, with separate hall lounge/dining room. Staff usually friendly and efficient. The Head Housekeeper is a real gem - nothing is too much trouble for her at all.... more

The hotel is in a great location, 5 minutes from both beach and town. The room was clean and comfortable with everything you would expect, if a bit tired looking. We had a room right at the back overlooking the car park. Not the most exciting of views and there were a number of loud drunken chavs shouting for most... more

We booked this hotel for a Hen and it served it purpose. We paid £103 a night for a double room. The hotel is a great location just across (and down!) from the beach. The only problem (apart from the rude front desk staff) was that the rooms were all compleatly different. I had a nice room, spacious, balcony with... more

Each time we take a trip either for a short break in the UK or a trip abroad we always check with Trip Adviser and take a balanced view of the reviews before booking. The East Cliff was good so we book 2 double rooms. On arrival we were met by very friendly staff taken to our rooms they were... more

I booked this hotel at the last minute via lastminute.com - £50 a night with breakfast. After tossing up the idea of staying at the Menzies Carlton or Ramada, I am VERY happy I ended up going with the East Cliff Menzies. The Hotel is about a 2-3 min walk into the centre part of town. It is located, like... more

I stayed at The East Cliff Court Hotel on the 31st Jan 2008. My room was spacious, clean and well presented, except I did think the bathroom looked a bit tired in comparison. The service was excellent and all the staff were helpful and polite. We booked dinner, B&B, which was excellent value for money. The 4 course evening meal... more

I stayed here on New Year's Eve as I was a late arrival to my group of friends, I didn't get to chose where to stay. I had seen the photos on the website as it looked impressive but I was disappointed with my tiny room at the very back of the hotel overlooking the car park. It seemed that... more
