This hotel was a nightmare from the start. The corridors smelt, huge piles of dirty linen greeted us outside each of the rooms when we arrived. I didn't dare inspect the mattresses too closely, afraid of what I might find.Breakfast was a 'free for all'. People grabbed what they could when it arrived. The whole place was just interested in... Dirty walls and sticky door handles. Not a lamp functioned in the room. No hairdryer ( as they say they have) - no spare one upon request !!! shower water with no pressure - but water was warm ! Very dirty breakfast room - stained chairs and table cloths. Wi-fi did not work ( a bit in the lobby, but... More

I am staying here for 2x nights. It has to be said the hotel is a little dated and I agree there are a few damp smells in places. That being said it cost only £35 a night. Room was quite big so space to get ready and hang out, bathroom refurbished With a power(ish) shower, breakfast was a hot... More

Horrible! Rooms are dirty and not worth the money! Rooms were damp and stank! Can also hear all neighbours both upstairs and doWn. Website says newly refurbished but has not! Avoid at all costs! Staff were helpful when asked . By far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in!

Room was tiny, dirty, smelly and carpet was wet. The place was full of students, the tea/coffee facilities were value tea bags! Says it all really. Location was good close to seafront and shops. Their description of the place is NOT genuine. The bar did not open the whole time we were there. Only stayed there one night as a... More

I stayed for a week in MaeMar hotel. The room was clean, spacious and bathroom spotless. The hotel is in a very good location, close to shops and beach. Stuff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fresh and tasty. I really enjoyed my stay! Definitely coming back!

Honestly the worst hotel experience of my life. The hotel is also called glendevon and even with two establishments they couldn't get it right. To name a few issues: *The hot tap was colder than the cold tap. *The electricals haven't been tested. *The windows opened ridiculous unsafely onto a busy road. *There were white pills on the floor. *The... This hotel is advertised as 'Bournemouth's best kept secret' with 'all refurbished rooms'. My room probably last saw a decorator at some point in the 60's. There was damp in the corners, the bathroom floor was split and past it's best, and the shower was broken and prehistoric. The furniture was all incredibly dated and they do not have double... More
