Don't bother going to this hotel! We stayed one night last weekenfd for a friends wedding. When you enter the hotel the reception is quite nice This it where it ends though. On our arrival we weren't sure where reception was so looked into the first doorway. A woman behind the curtains shouted to us that it was the next... more

Really dissapointed, thought this looked a lovely place to get away for a relaxing weekend. Wanted it to be really luxurious and special. From the outside and when you enter the reception and see the bar it looks really nice. The dining room and outside courtyard are lovely but the actual bedrooms are really nothing special, pretty rough around the... more

The money spent on this hotel has been used to make the public areas trendy with a boutique, Asian feel, however the rooms leave a lot to be desired. A few trendy pictures, don't make a boutique hotel, room very tired, old fashioned patterned carpet, unusable shower, poor bathroom amenities, plastic cups, dirty and unappealing. Cheap fittings and furniture, no... more

Website and reality miles apart. We had a gound floor room which wasn't clean and looked very tired. Continental breakfast was poorly presented and not very appertising. Coffee, tea and toast was a diy affair. Overall we were very disappointed in this supposedly boutique hotel. more

As it was Bournemouth Air Festival and they had a wedding on we drew the short straw and got what appeared to be the last rooms. We were promised on the phone two rooms away from the noise of the wedding but received rooms right next to the noise. Our room was dark, dirty and noisy. The dining room for... more

We stayed at this hotel for a short mid-week break, first impressions was that this hotel is in need of refurbishment generally and in the rooms too. We found the staff to be very friendly, pleasant and helpful but felt our twin room was rather small. I went by the website when choosing this hotel-do not go by it! It... more

Myself and a group of 7 others recently booked this hotel, as part of a kind of last min seaside trip away. The mid-week break deal offered a room and breakfast for £35 a night, which in peak season is’nt that bad. Upon arrival we were allowed to park our cars in the car park, so we could explore Bournemouth... more

I have just stayed at this hotel and thought it was very good value. The rooms are quite small byt very adequate with a good bathroom. The location is ideal for access to town centre and the beach and there are some good local bars, restaurants and shops within five minutes walk. The hotel itself is small, friendly and quiet,... more

I booked to go here with my other half over the may half term. What can i say...it delivered everything we wanted for a short break away. On arrival we thought the hotel looked beautiful, the staff welcomed us and were so polite telling us about what to do and where to go, also offering us a map to get... more

We have just got back from a 3 night break (Thursday-Sunday) at the Orchid and thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The hotel benefits from a fantastic location in a relatively quiet road that is just 5 mins walk from both the town's main restaurants and the lift down to the beach. We stayed in the Aspasia Suite which at £90... more
