Just got back from Bournemouth had a great stay at The Whitehall, arrived on Saturday afternoon no place to park however Sara gave us great welcome and promptly parked the car for us. Room was lovely very clean and the breakfasts superb!!! Overall a great stay and would certainly come back. The staff are a credit to Sara and Bernard... More

Had such a bad experience at the hotel previous that we decided to up and leave and come here. As soon as we were in the car park we had a lovely lady trying to find us parking. The staff are really lovely here. Rooms are a bit old fashioned unsurprisingly for 142 yr old building but you really could... More

We were welcomed to the faded charm of the Whitehall Hotel by helpful and friendly staff, who made us feel right at home without being overbearing. Asked upon arrival whether we needed any advice about the area, we were given a local map and pointed in the direction of a lovely restaurant, two minutes' walk away, which fit our brief... More

This was a surprise! I joined a bridge holiday for 5 days and saw it was 2 star and expected accordingly. But the Whitehall was unusual - the staff were particularly friendly, speedy and helpful, my room was a single but extremely pleasant with lots of light and a big bathroom (scrupulously clean). The breakfast was a delight -almost anything 'English'... More

I had requested a fridge for my medication , on arrival i was presented with an extremely small travel fridge , extremely noisey. had to buy extension lead and put in bathroom. Whilst the breakfasts were excellent, the dinner quality has reduced significantly. I had booked three dinners , for each night of our stay , but had to cancel... More

I had a reunion with 3 friends of many years standing in this hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I loved everything about it from the friendly courteous staff to the comfortable lounges and lovely breakfasts (how nice to have breakfast served to the table rather than having to join a self service queue). The location is ideal, just... More

Stayed at the Whitehall again after a few years. We took a party of 54 on the first occasion and we were all happy and completely satisfied. When we were asked to make up a bowling side recently we did not hesitate and invited another six of our friends to join us. The owners Sara and Bernard are always available... More

Stayed at the Whitehall as part of a bowling touring side and have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. The food was excellent, as was the service and the rooms spacious and comfortable. The Whitehall is a period building with the odd creaking floorboard but this all adds to the ambience. Our entertainment for the Saturday was Annie, a local... More
