We stayed at this hotel Last night on a travelzoo deal 3 course evening meal bed and breakfast. We were in room 103 above the cocktail bar. We knew that there would be loud music as the hotel website put a warning about it also we were told by the staff on the front desk when we booked in. The... More

Wanted a few days away, so booked at this hotel I did not read any reviews and was pleasantly surprised at the quality for price. I must say that if you are a 'foody' the 1812 restaurant provided meals that were way above average for a set menu; I have eaten in some excellent restaurants but the food here was... More

I used to go here years ago and it was a very nice hotel so booked to come for the weekend. It was awful. The room we had (304) was in the roof and was filthy, hot and very small. The bathroom floor was leaning and the shower (if you can call a dribble a shower) leaked. Noise from the... More

This is our second trip to the Royal Exeter Hotel. The first was with Travelzoo on a 2 night including breakfast deal. We upgraded to an executive suite. We was so impressed with the hotel we rebooked again . We have just returned on a 4 night anniversary break. A special mention to Sarah and Nicki the reception ladies who... More

I've written before and have little new to report. Reception staff good, breakfast crew fantastic - the manager is one of the best - as is the breakfast. Rooms are fine, hotel a colour matched blend of old and new, but my previous pleas of hiring a designer just to pull things better together has gone unheeded. I think it... More

We have just today returned from a 3 night stay at The Royal Exeter Hotel in Bournemouth. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we can't fault it one bit. Warm and friendly welcome, room was excellent, we had emailed in advance and requested a high room, included in the room was a good selection of tea... More

Stayed last week and the first impression was that the outside could do with a lick of paint. One might accept that at the end of the season, but not the start! However, inside was fine. We were greeted well and efficiently, told how to get to our room and asked if we needed help with the suitcases. Room was... More

Stayed here for one night. The free parking is a wonderful bonus. The location of the hotel is great - opposite the BIC and handy for beach and town. Room was fine and spacious and the bed linen and towels were clean and crisp. Cleanliness of the hotel was good and the room and bathroom, although a bit dated, were... More

Stayed here on a Monday and found the hotel busy but not noisy. We were pleased to park our car safely and for free in their secure car park with barrier. Location excellent virtually opposite the BIC. Very short walk to the beach and town. We were told about 'happy hour ' when we arrived but was lead to believe... More

Stayed here over a Friday night on a Travel Zoo deal. Were warned of possible noise on checking in but this was not an issue as our room was on third floor. Room was basic but fine and bed comfortable and bedding and towels clean and crisp. Location great and parking a plus. 1812 bar great for cocktails (be aware... More
