I don't write many reviews but felt so strongly about our disappointing visit to this hotel, that I'm writing this only minutes after getting home. Initial impressions... The staff were extremely rude on arrival when checking in, the lift could only just fit the buggy, the smell of damp was everywhere, and the decor was that of a 1930's movie.... More

Having arrived after a horrendous journey I joined my family in the bar and immediately ordered a diet coke and jacket potato. I was appalled at the jacket potato it was swimming in oil or butter plus 2 further pats of butter. As I was with family and friends I did not want to make a fuss so I ate... More

Went there for an afternoon tea. We sat outside And definitely the sea view was great. One thing that put us off were the cups and cutlery . Lets put it this way : it didnot match the view. With the rating of the hotel and view i had expected it to be better. But then arrived the sandwiches and... More

It's a beautiful hotel. The service was very good. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Our room No.214 was on the top left. We had our own balcony with a stunning view of the sea. The room was gorgeous and spotlessly clean. The hotel is only a short walk from the town and looking right over the beach. We... More

We have been enjoying short breaks at the Hotel Miramar for several years. The staff are always efficient and friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. We enjoy a deluxe room overlooking the sea with wonderful views along the coast. The restaurant is excellent with a buffet for continental style breakfast and waiter service for a good selection... The bedrooms may be a little small by current standards but they are clean and reasonably equipped. Staff are excellent and are at the top when comparing with other four star hotels. Food in the restaurant or at a function is excellent value with if anything generous portions. Parking can be an issue but the brilliant concierge soon sorts things... More

We stayed just one night for a wedding reception, what a beautiful setting! The wedding breakfast was delicious, all very hot (although would have preferred more veg). The service was generally good for the wedding meal (a couple of waiting staff didn't seem very happy or friendly). The bedroom was lovely and clean with tea and coffee facilities. The cooked... Older style Bournemouth hotel (Edwardian I think). Beautifully decorated with beautiful gardens. Rooms are well appointed but could do with aircon as it was too hot on the day I was there. Breakfast choice was limited to a small cold buffet and freshly cocked hot breakfast - not the best, The only real issue was the service - very slow... More

Excellent hotel. We had 8 great days in the Shelley Room, a Premier room with balcony overlooking the sea. Extra cost but worth it. A dedicated parking space in the car park! Meals excellent, silver service and good choice of menu. Very busy hotel, grounds fantastic, overlooking the sea. Short walk to the pier, but steep climb back. Well staffed,... More

I found this hotel to be very comfortable and clean. Very nice hotel with good food, very friendly staff who will look after you always with a smile. Beautiful views outside from the terrace, it is very nice place to have a lunch outside and enjoy nice weather with a table service provided.. Bar staff is efficient and friendly.
