We booked a short break to Bournemouth and unfortunately booked the wrong Hotel - please see my review of the Menzies Carlton Hotel. On our second night we booked an evening meal at the Hotel Miramar. We received a warm welcome and were directed to our table. The management of the restaurant was exceptional. The service provided by our waiters... More

To David Bailey the Owner and GM I'd like to say how enjoyable it was to have the Ambassador Suite for 3 nights to celebrate my retirement and 65th Birthday I was a little disaapointent to find no sunbeds on the balcony. Luckily went back to our local home to get a sunbed. The housekeeping in the room was excellent... More

Generally very good, suffers a little from employing non English staff but never the less they try very hard to please. The room we had overlooked the car parking area but with the windows open we were able to manage through the hot night without any air con. The food was very good both for breakfast and diner but it... More

10 of us ladies visited the Hotel Miramar for afternoon tea on Sun 20th July - we did book beforehand. As soon as we arrived in the car park, we were greeted by a lovely man that helped organise car parking, as the hotel can get extremely busy. We were seated outside on a lovely decked terrace which overlooked their... More

My friend and I visited this hotel for Sunday lunch recently. It was such a shame that the potatoes were tinned, the swede was diced and obviously previously frozen. The quality of this was poor and it was inedible. When it came to dessert there was virtually nothing left; it just looked like a big mess. One diner was actually... More

This hotel stands in beautiful grounds on the sea front. The bedrooms have recently been refurbished, and their junior suites are excellent and good value for money. All staff are caring, efficient and friendly and happy to attend to any need. The brother and sister who run the hotel are omnipresent = and it shows. Rooms are extremely comfortable and... More

Delightful and annoying in equal measure. A warm and welcoming environment with lots of attention to detail juxtaposed with jarring oversights. Endless air conditioning complaints were heard at reception although ours worked fine, showers were barely more than a drip. Newly refurb toilets had bare wires sticking out of walls. Beautiful gardens and a homely feel. Mostly the staff were... More

Our wedding day at the Miramar hotel was just amazing. Miramar is a very beautiful and stylish venue, with its old-fashion listed building, lovely garden and breath-taking sea views. Hotel is very well-maintained and, at the time of our wedding in May 2014, the whole third floor public areas, rooms and downstairs toilets were freshly renovated and spotless. We stayed... More
