I have always admired this hotel from afar as I grew up in the area. Many happy childhood memories of walking through the chine gardens and looking up at this beautiful hotel. So when I got engaged it was naturally the first place we went to look at and we fell in love with it. It's charming, comfortable and the... More

we just came back yesterday after our one night break at the Chine hotel, we were just nervous and worried as it was our first little holiday in the UK and booked it just 7 hours before we left the home. However it was a great stay, location is good and they gave us room 407 which has a great... More

We stayed one night, did not use pool etc so can't comment on that. Buffett breakfast was excellent. Staff friendly, polite and helpful. Booked standard double, which was a very good size. Bed comfy. Only cons were that the corridors of the hotel were like a sauna, which made our room hot too.

We stayed here for a long weekend, although the staff were polite I found them to be a little offish, the room although clean was a little shabby,it could do with painting and carpets cleaning, the whole hotel could do with being refurbished, that said the food was lovely and the swimming pool was fine, would we stay again not sure

My partner booked this as a stopover base for us and our two children aged 12 &8 as we were travelling around various places doing the typical sightseeing bit. Upon arrival we checked in and I saw there was this big easel notice board for various things that were on in the hotel for the half term week with a... More

I booked this hotel for a saturday night stay as a birthday treat for my husband, when we arrived we saw there was a wedding on and were advised that we couldn't have the option to dine at the hotel that night as we'd only booked bed and breakfast, not a good start but we checked in and were taken... We visited. The Chine last Friday night and were pleasantly surprised with the hotel in general. The hotel was fully booked due to a couple of wedding receptions being held on the Saturday . At first when we wanted a table for dinner the receptionist said they were fully booked, so my wife pointed out that as a guest they... More

Staff so friendly . Great facilities . Very relaxing and food and service first class. Loved the superior room with sea views. We have visited twice now and will certainly be back especially when deals are around

The hotel has seen better days. Its a bit like an old lady that has had too many facelifts by many surgeons, so parts are good and some are not. Our room was very small with a window that just about opened and it was hot. Breakfasts although plentiful were buffet and cold. I suggest you order poached eggs and... More

When we arrived and saw how large the hotel was out head dropped as we tend to find the bigger the hotel the less pleasant the experience. How wrong we were .... from the check-in lady, to the bar staff and the staff at breakfast all the members of staff we encountered were friendly and helpful (incidentally all the ones... More
