This is the third time we have stayed at the Chine. There appeared to have been a mix up with our booking and rather than get the high floor quiet garden view room we had booked we were initially allocated a ground floor room. The manager Paul was very helpful and "upgraded" us immediately for the first three nights to... More

Second time we had stayed here as a family. This time we could take advantage of the kids club as we went during the school holidays. We couldn't keep our child away from the club they had such a great time with the fabulous team of Funsters! Everything from art activities to sports day and discos. The Funsters along with... More

We had a superb stay at The Chine Hotel last year. This year, the hotel has let itself go. We stayed 7 nights for £175 pn. That's a fair whack. I haven't the energy to list the flaws and, in any case, confirm the points made by other reviewers on this hotel. House keeping was poor, poor, poor. Seven nights... More

I had previously stayed at the Chine hotel on business and found the hotel to be friendly and very welcoming. I had also recommended the hotel to my parents and friends who stayed and had a wonderful experience. However, my last experience was a complete nightmare. I prepaid in advance for a sea view room and dinner. I was not... More

We had a sea view double room with balcony that was absolutely fine - unlike some other reviewers apparently - with everything in it you could possibly want, except for a fridge! The pools and spa were a great way to relax in the afternoon, the grounds are lovely and its a short walk to the front and Boscombe pier,... More

Don't you just hate it, when a hotels website looks better than the actual hotel. We booked a seaview with balcony and the first thing that his us was the smell of damp. Informed reception but nothing was followed up. The paper on the ceiling was peeling off and the bathroom was a galley one. The bath towels were wider... More

This was a eagerly awaited return visit to The Chine Hotel. When I visited in the autumn last year I was advised the hotel would be closing during the winter months so that the hotel could be refurbished. Sadly it appears the hotel merely closed for cost cutting reasons and the same will happen again this autumn. Many of the... More

Nice hotel, if bit dated (furniture in rooms is from the 50's. Bar staff could be a LOT quicker. United Nations of staff working here, but all are very polite and friendly. Food is exceptionally good, and the daily activities for the kids is great. The children entertainers "Funsters" are a young lively and friendly bunch who captivate the kids.... More

Super hotel..wonderful indoor and outdoor (heated) pools, indoor soft play area. Best of all is the childrens entertainment. From 10am until 9pm there are non stop activities which vary daily. The Funsters staff are absolutely fantastic. I had to stay with my 3 year old, over 4's can be left, so I had a first hand account of seeing how... More

We swam in the indoor pool on afternoon we arrived, the pool attendant was very polite and helpful. The walk through the garden to the beach... More
