The staff were extremely helpful, no problem was too big and went out of their way to make our stay very enjoyable. Hotel was very clean, lovely terrace by the pool and the room was to high standards of cleanliness. more

We have just stayed at the Montague, with 2 children aged 16. The hotel is small, very clean and with very friendly staff, for whom nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is well placed for walking into the twon centre or beach, although those who find walking difficult may struggle with the uphill climb. That said there was a... more

It was just a quick visit and I have to say I was so welcomed by all of the staff!..The 2 Michaels, Anna, Verity and Graeme were just so helpful, pleasant and nice. I was staying at this wonderful hotel for 11 weeks whilst I was working nearby, They say first impressions count and Mikey at reception certainly did that, he knew i was going to be a long term guest and was so warm, friendly and welcoming that he made me feel at ease straight away. Chef Rob and Andy made divine... more

Booked a single room, which was on the 3rd floor, the first thing you notice are the creeking floorboards under your feet on every step, really annoying after a while. Also the walls were very thin. Bathroom was small but adequate. TV remote didnt work. The big suprise was the breakfast - a lovely Full English included in the price.... more

The truth is that I only booked The Montague for a wedding we attended was that an offer arrived via email the day I was looking to book, we don't normally stay at Best Westerns but the offer was good and it fitted with what we wanted to pay. Anyway, outside it looked like a traditional Bournemouth Hotel for 2... more

The hotel was clean and very adequate for our 5 night holiday. Room was cosy, cleaned every day, warm and had everything you needed. We got a great deal "Get a way dinner bed and breakfast " and found it saved us a packet and the trouble of having to find somewhere to eat every night! Its near to the town... more

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, On arrival we were given a room on lower ground floor next to car park. Room No.3. I must admit this was a nice room in size, but strange things happened in the night, at 3am I awoke to strange noises outside my door, I was then freezing cold just like a... more

I thought the room was a bit expensive for what we got; £180.00 for a twin room for 2 nights on a B&B basis. I dont really feel we got value for money; the hotel was clean although the room was really small . We had a tiny en suite - it was difficult to manoevre around the loo to... more

I stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights on business and had a very pleasant and comfortable stay. The hotel is in an excellent location just a short walk from the sea front. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and my room was clean and comfortable. I didn't eat in the restaurant in the evening but the... more
