First impressions were not good. Although we had read the reviews on trip advisor, we booked late and did not have much choice - this being the only hotel available! At £110 a night, you would expect something a little more up market. The staff were very good given the poor equipment they had to work with. The indoor pool... more

I visited the Suncliff with my boyfriend over the bank holiday weekend. We chose the Suncliff as we managed to get a very cheap rate. I was slightly anxious after reading some of the reviews but decided it was worth a try as the location was so good. Check in was quick and easy - there were plenty of staff... more

My boyfriend and I stayed for a weekend break and were very happy with the room in general and the service that we received. There was no problem booking in at all Everything was explained as to where all the amenities were in the hotel. Our room was comfortable, though the bed could have been softer but some people prefer... more

Rooms could do with an overhaul, but were clean and comfortable. Our family room, although dated, was an excellent siz and beds were very comfortable. Staff all friendly. Leisure complex was fine and lounge was extremely spacious, so plenty of room to find a quiet corner. Location on the east side of bournemouth was lovely and peaceful, but within minutes... more

Having spent two excellent, consecutive, Christmas breaks at The Suncliff Hotel several years ago, staying in room 209, my husband and I returned to spend 4 nights on 30th March. On arrival, we were very impressed with the exterior of the hotel, which was well maintained and we had no problems in finding a car space for our car in... more

Yes, we looked at the website and thought it looked quite nice....We thought wrong! Where do i start.... The hotel is EXTREMELY dated, dodgy decor that looked more than a little tired, the rooms were tiny, dirty (i cleaned the previous occupants make up off of the bathroom door) damp, smelly, the bed was uncomfortable, and the entire bedding needed... more

We booked a five night stay on a bband evening meal basis. The food was wonderful and the staff excellent. Although we hadn't booked a room with a sea view , we were pleasantly surprised to get a terrace as well. The entertainment and sport facilities were also good. We are awaiting details of Christmas events etc and will definitely... more

My mum, sister and I arrived at the Suncliff on Easter Monday to celebrate my mum's 60th in Bournemouth. The outside looked fairly ok we had arrived at a busy time as 3 coaches of people had arrived. Check in was fine and I was handed our room key. Our room was located on the 2nd floor along the outdated,... more

I greatly enjoyed my stay at the Suncliff in March 2009. I am at the more mature age range for this hotel and in my opinion it is well decorated and furnished. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My first floor room with en suite was of good size with a quality television and hairdryer. The room was well... more
