Myself and my partner stayed in this idyllic B&B for a long weekend October 2015. We were greeted by Martin who was really friendly and offered to bring our bags upstairs. Our room was huge with a lovely comfortable bed, en suite bathroom, and we had TV, WIFI and tea and coffee tray which was a lovely refresher after a... More

Nothing quite worked, little as promised. Flushing the loo very difficult, like the door key it needs a knack. Guest lounge bleak. No BBC One on the television. Lighting levels very low. Tea Bags rationed to 3.

Can't fault this Bed & Breakfast. Great location, easy walk to beach, Bournemouth & Westbourne. Easy to access to local public transport so no need to use car. Great size room with lovely breakfast, freshly cooked to order. With a teenager the free wifi was a bonus.. Many thanks to the owners for the constant advice & ideas of things... More

I stayed at the newlands for 4 nights and was impressed both by the standard and the great breKfast. The bed and breakfast is also great value for money and if like me you are a light sleeper you will have no problem sleeping as the b and b is in a quiet cul de sac. Alum chine beach and... More

A real family atmosphere, very friendly and helpful hosts. The breakfast was so filling that I kept going for most of the day. The service was excellent and the cleanliness first class. A lovely walk down to Alum Chine through the beautiful wooded valley but 80 steps down and of course 80 steps back but by taking time it was... More

We stayed here for 3 nights! It's location is fab! Only 3 min drive to town. Very hospitable family who run the B&B much like a family home! You have your own key to get in and out and it's very peaceful with no hen or stags staying! Me and my partner felt the room and the B&B itself was... More

We have just returned from The Newlands and there was a couple of things that we felt quite disappointing, The Family room was of a good size but there had been a past leak in the roof so the wallpaper was stained and when you felt the wall it still felt damp, the wallpaper was in need of re doing.Another... Lets do the positives. The breakfast is quite good and there is good parking. The hotel is in a great position near the beach and the television in the room is outstanding - it is the only one that on which I have seen Andy Murray win Wimbledon. It started badly. We rang the door bell 4 times and in... More
