This lovely old Hotel ticks the boxes on many levels! It is West of the Pier and out of the hubbub of the town centre, surrounded by the beautiful trees and gardens of Alum Chine. Sitting out on your balcony in the morning and hearing bird song is a lovely way to start the day. It is about a 5... More

We like the Riviera hotel. It's near the beach, it's friendly and clean and my sons favourite: it has a pool. The one thing that lets this hotel down are the paper thin walls. Last time we stayed we could hear everyone traipsing past our door and the floor boards creaked so loud every time someone passed! This time we... More

Brilliant night , the best Christmas Party I've been too. Cocktails brilliant, could not believe how big the place is. Food and service very good , disco was really good. Spent most of the evening on the dance floor.

Spent 2 lovely nights in a standard family room on b and b. Room was clean and comfortable, adequate space for three with proper third bed. Bathroom clean with shower over bath. Ample towels replaced daily. Breakfast was great, a hot buffet with plenty of cereals, fruit etc as well. Every member of staff has been really helpful and friendly.... More

Was not the best weekend, the staff seem clueless and helpless when it comes to service especially breakfast. I found bacon grease in my pot of tea, the breakfast lacked content as there were no bowls for cereal or plates for buffet. There was a very limited selection of cold options and when you ordered toast it seemed like it... More

We were lucky enough to have a balcony room. The room itself was a little tired in places and the bed was, in our opinion, on the hard side (and squeaked every time you moved) but otherwise it was comfortable enough. The hotel staff were friendly and courteous. We had a meal in the restaurant in the evening which was... More

We have just returned from a 5 night stay at the Riviera Hotel, room was very good with plenty of drawer and wardrobe space and modern furnishings. Bathroom was possibly the smallest we have ever had and could have done with renewing fixtures and fittings. Food from the dining room was excellent, the best we have had and we are... More

Attended a Masonic Ladies' Weekend. Food superb, staff attentive and helpful, facilities clean and efficient. External appearance and location should not put you off. Excellent value and a thoroughly enjoyable few days.

another great relaxing stay in this hotel. They are so accommodating and moved us really quickly to an upgraded room when we had a problem with no hot water. So clean and never disappoints! The breakfast has everything you need for a buffet and the cooked breakfast is always delicious.
