First trip to this Marriott in 2009, The refurbishnment appears to have been finished and all the decor is to a high standard. My wife and I booked a Seaview room and were given a Junior Suite. The room, bed, furniture and bathroom were all comfortable and immaculate. We arrived early and were warmly and efficiently welcomed by the staff... more

We had two sea view rooms and I thought they were finished to a high standard. The hotel is nice and it is clean. The only downside is that the vegetarian menu for the evening meal only contained one item and the parking can be tight at times. Other than that we would stay again as it is very central... more

Spent 3 nights in one of the cottages. Nice room with good access to gardens and outdoor pool area. Only problem was the shower which sprayed water all over the bathroom. Rod (Maintenance) did a great job and rigged up a temp repair. It must cost a fortune in cleaning up the messes. Staff were all great(no exceptions) but one... more

Stayed at Bournemouth Marriott 6 March 09 for 2 nights. Arrived approx 9pm Friday night. Car park showed full and asked you to park in local NCP which seemed unacceptable for an international brand hotel which is priced accordingly. Luckily we managed to park in a space adjacent to the hotel which the receptionist assured us also belonged to the... more

My wife and I stayed here by default, having originally booked elsewere and been dissatisfied with what we found, so this was a late booking on a Friday afternoon. On arriving, what first hits you, is that for the biggest hotel in Bournemouth, parking is woefully inadequate, with the on-site car park full to overflowing and drivers having no option... more

It all started so well and then just went downhill. At reception we got a complimentary upgrade to a suite; only we had booked a no smoking room and this was a smelly smoking suite! (and had no time to change). The shower did not work, we waited 35 minutes for a sandwich in the bar, the newspaper we ordered... more

My wife and I chose this hotel after reading reviews of other hotels in Bournemouth. The other Bournemouth hotels seemed to be less than desirerable so we decided to go with a known hotel chain. The hotel is located on the highest cliff in Bournemouth, giving you a view towards Poole harbor and beyond. Almost directly due east was a... more

Perfectly located on a cliff overlooking the pier and the bay, the Marriott Highcliff offers the best views in Bournemouth. It’s an easy downhill walk to the beach, the town center, restaurants and shopping (of course, it’s an uphill walk back to the hotel!). The rooms are large, tastefully decorated, and quiet. Parking is plentiful (in European terms), and breakfast... more

We had just got married and decided to have a last minute short break as a honeymoon. The girls on reception were extremely professional and friendly and even upgraded us to a sea view cottage when we mentioned the occasion. She pointed out many places to visit and romantic restaurants to eat in, she couldn't have been more helpful. All... more

We got a room last minute at the hotel reception. Great location with lovely views of the ocean as it's right on the front. Only a 5 min walk to the town centre. We stayed in room 123 which had a sea view, very nice room, king size bed that was very comfy. Only issue we had was that we... more
