Having read the reviews by other visitors I was rather worried about what I might find so was pleasantly surprised when myself and three of my children spent a night here last week. The hotel may be a little tired but four of us stayed here for £17 a head to include free parking, use of the facilities (eg swimming... More

Ended up at carrington house after being denied our initial booking at heathlands. Seem to have had a lucky escape. Very basic but at £55 a night at Easter cheap and satisfactory for our needs. The staff were doing there very best hardworking and cheerful. We ended up with a pool which the six year old loved. Much longer walk... More

Stayed her 22nd March as part of an organised dance weekend. Whilst the hotel itself needs refurbishing and some tlc, the staff were more than helpful, especially the Manager, who was most professional and quite frankly, Britannia Hotels should be grateful to have him, as without him, this hotel will not survive. My husband and I requested a twin room,... More

The Good: Friendly staff; Spacious bedroom although a bit tired and fitments could have been better; Reasonably comfortable bed; Bathroom with very hot water. The Bad; Not enough milk (4 sachets is insufficient for a single traveller let alone a couple; Insufficient parking; No Wi-Fi connection despite the hotel boasting it has Wi-Fi. Was always limited service or maximum user... More

Good location with a 20 minute walk, via the Boscombe Gardens, to the Sea front. My wife and I booked in for one night. Staff very friendly and polite. A nice size double room but it was in urgent need of renovating. The toilet seat was hanging off! The wardrobe was in danger of collapsing as the back panel had... More

Listed in my brochure as a 4 star Quality Hotel just a short walk from Bournemouth Town Centre. It is not really an accurate description as the prices are more budget and a taxi to town was £7.00! Breakfast was good but the dinner vegetables lacked variety. After dinner tea and coffee were from jugs in the lounge, which weren't... More

Just back from a Boogaloo Jump Jive & Boogie Weekend at The Carrington House Hotel. The best feature of The Hotel is the large ballroom with a fabulous dance floor and we made great use of this over the weekend with live bands and dancing. We also had use of a second dance floor which was used for dance lessons... More
