This hotel was a great find! We stayed for a weekend away with friends and found it to be a great value hotel. Okay so the bathroom was small but who cares it was clean and served it's purpose. The room was a good size with sea view and all that you need. Bar was great and breakfast good, we... More

We booked through Lastminute as their 'secret romantic hotel' for a short break to celebrate our 30th Anniversary. Despite under-occupancy we were given a tired, dated, dark & dingy room on the top floor, overlooking the car park and also overlooked by staff accommodation. Each morning we were woken by the noise from some kind of machinery starting-up. The ensuite... More

The one out of 5 is for the view. As a couple with 3 kids this was a 1st break in 2 years away. We were told on arrival that there was going to be a party going on late. If we'd known this we would have booked elsewhere. The problem was a room that was like a sauna versus... More

Stayed for 1 night (Sunday) as a quick getaway. We had our day planned so wasn't too worried about the room. This is an old house so not originally designed for hotel use, you can tell by where the doors were! Our room(27) was at back, was ok size, but bathroom was small and just a walk in shower, which... The hotel is decorated as you would expect a "boutique" hotel to be decorated, although I did find the pink bar/dining area a little garish for my taste. The room was perfect for my needs and the evening meal in the restaurant was one of the best I have come across in my travels. Breakfast service was friendly and efficient and... More

On booking we understood that hotels hold weddings. However, it would have been a courtesy to tell us that one was being held the same weekend as our anniversary break. Music was extremely loud, until midnight. Our room 31 was above the garden and the function room. I payed for the romantic package to surprise my husband, and although the... More

After a small issue with the room I was booked into, the shift manager and receptionist kindly switched my room and upgraded it. The receptionist Anna and her shift manager Paul, were both extremely kind and friendly. Very accommodating hotel. I would certainly recommend it to friends and family.

Four of us went for a meal in the restaurant. We were not staying in the hotel. The decor in the bar and restaurant may not be to everyone's taste; the overall colour is a shocking pink and reminds one of a bordello! Our meal was very good, the catch of the day (cod) was perfectly cooked. My companions had... More

Excellent weekend at the Cottonwood .We attended a wedding at the hotel. The function rooms are perfect and the staff very helpful. Gary, the event manager was exceptional . Nothing was too much trouble and he and his team worked hard to make the day perfect. Accomodation was fine , we booked several rooms for the event . Price was... More
