Spent 2 nights for my birthday treat. Hotel was quirky, lots of crushed pink velvet furniture and curtains and flock wallpaper. Bedroom was lovely with magnificent sea views, over a pretty garden, and atmospheric 1920's type prints on the walls. The bathroom was spotless. Our bed was very comfortable. Loved the 1920's Great Gatsby type décor and ambience. Staff were friendly.... More

On arrival, had the choice of 3 rooms and was shown each room for us to choose from which was nice. Nothing was too much trouble. Friendly staff, sea view, only 10 minutes from pier. The hotel has unique décor which added to its character. Room and bed were good. Lovely breakfast in a nice room.

Just spent three nights at this hotel. Found the hotel clean and the staff very friendly. The lady serving breakfast was extremely friendly and helpful, and should be commended. Would definitely recommend to others. A comfortable room with a sea view was a real treat, having stayed in some pretty poor hotels in Bournemouth. This hotel offers excellent value for... More

Stayed at this hotel for two nights Saturday and Sunday on a Bed and Breakfast basis. The staff were very polite and the hotel was spotless. It is old with character in the building, a few creaks here and there but the rooms were spacious. We had a sea view and got a bottle of wine in our room on... More

Some of the Tripadvisor reports for this hotel are not very complimentary and I was a little apprehensive as to our stay. I should not have had any concerns. Do these people try to find fault? Reception was welcoming and friendly, as indeed were all the staff. The decor may not be to every ones taste but it is certainly... More

Have just returned from a one night break using a voucher for breakfast, dinner, bottle of bubbly and Chocolates. All the staff at the hotel were friendly, helpful and efficient. The decor was carefully designed, warm and original without being brash. Our room (20)was a reasonable size, quuiet with a view of the sea, Isle of Wight and Purbeck in the... More

This place claims to be a boutique hotel - we should be clear from the start that such an hotel is boutique from basement to attic. This place is boutique on the ground floor and basement but then it goes awry. The bar and restaurant are very boutique - so much pink, gilt and cherubs - I thought I was... More

Me and my partner and baby decided to spend the weekend in Bournemouth. We did a last minute booking which was fantastic value for money. The hotel has great character and our room was very big. All the staff were lovely, very welcoming and accommodating for our 6 month old. Dinner was fantastic. I regret not having a pudding now.... More

We stayed here for one night as we were seeing The Specials at the 02 in Boscombe. We were met by a very friendly receptionist and our room, 10, was OK. In fact it was huge, so big that I think they've struggled to know how to fill it; there was a double bed, two singles, a dressing table, a... More

Although the weather was pretty bad today, we sat in the cosy restaurant with a lovely sea view enjoying a lovely afternoon tea. The service was very good and the staff were very polite and we did not feel atall hurried. A relaxing way to spend the afternoon and very good value for money. The sandwich selection was good and...
