Stayed here a few years back when freshly decorated, funky styling. All good.Still ok but appearances disappointing on actual arrival. Not be put off,I noticed the difference and was wary and asked to see room before paying. It was pretty good, nice seaview. What I am saying is the messy carpet, knocked, worn paintwork let alone broken decorative pillar on the steps did not create a good impression... A very nice Hotel with lots of character. Excellent public rooms, for a small hotel. Our room 21 was adequate with a small walk-in shower, that needs a soap/sponge tray. difficult to bend down to collect your shower gel. The staff are very accommodating and professional. The menu could be improved with more choice, but the food was good & well presented. Overall... More

We came here for lunch. Right on the cliff top so wonderful sea views. The decor is fabulous, velvet, mirrors, chandeliers and deliciously pink. The staff were solicitous and catered to our every need. Perfectly prepared cocktails, lovely selection of white wines and the food was not only beautifully presented but tasted really good too. Would recommend the goat's cheese... More

My Husband and I stayed here for 3 nights while the ground floor room 4 was ok clean and tidy the only view was of the staff entrance, storage cupboard and side of the next door sister hotel. What a issue this became despite there being signs clearly stating "NO SMOKING" the staff ignored this and stood out there under... More

The owners of this hotel are not aware that Boutique is the wrong description. The main entrance would accommodate that description but certainly not the rooms. In fact the rooms are rather run down. And I dislike the dirty carpet in our room which has seen better days. Chipped paint work grubby carpet edges. This hotel is rather worn with... More

We returned to the hotel with great expectations as the first time we stayed it was fantastic in every aspect. The food and helpfulness of staff and location of the hotel remain first class but the room we had this time really let the "boutique image" slide. Do go and have a good time but avoid Room 3 on the... More

My partner and I have just returned from a 2 night stay at The Cottonwood Boutique Hotel. While the hotel was beautifully decorated there were a few areas that if given some TLC could turn this hotel from a 3 star to a 4 star+. During our stay we were very kindly allocated the bridal suite with fantastic views over... More

We can’t thank the entire Cottonwood team enough for everything they did, on and leading up to, our big day in June. Communication and planning was so easy. Liz and the team catered for our every need and request promptly and with a smile. The day itself was perfect and unforgettable. The hotel and grounds looked amazing, the staff were... More

The Cotton Wood Boutique Hotel is one of the oddest and yet most appealingly disarming of hotels that we’ve visited for some time. While we stayed in the sister hotel next door; we ate dinner, relaxed and had drinks in the Cottonwood. The welcome at Reception was warm when we introduced ourselves and the members of staff in the restaurant... More
