We have just come back from staying at this hotel were a bit dubious after reading some of the reviews but were pleasantly surprised, our room was a lovely size room clean, bath toilet etc clean,,staff absolutely lovely nothing was too much trouble, The people that work in this trade have an awful lot to deal with, but we found all... The hotel has a great marketing team - the website and pics make it look amazing ! Our room was clean but old and dated. Just looked tired. Also the room was very very hot. Staff didn't seem interested. As others have said reception staff ignore you until they are ready to serve you. Breakfast just wasn't exciting, deep fried... More

Picked this hotel for a one night stop-over for my husbands work. The hotel is on a road next to a roundabout. After the reception and dining room, the hotel is very tired, old and worn. The room we were allocated although large, had torn wallpaper on one wall, a hole in the carpet which had been cut out and... More

The hotel and service was brilliant, the food was amazing definitely recommend the pork. The staff were very helpful. Are room was spotless or though me and partner felt the room and furniture was quite dated. The bathroom again spotless and very clean although the shower was very poor and the bathroom window did not open. The bed was very... More

I was quite disappointed when we arrived at the somewhat dilapidated hotel after the lovely web site made the hotel look quite special. The interior of the hotel is dated and smells a bit of stale cigarette infused carpet. The kind that has been around for about 30 years. Staff were friendly enough and we're quick to help me after... stayed at this hotel over the bank August holiday week with my wife. At `Faulty Towers', I don't like to put reviews but after reading some of the reviews and hearing other groups in the hotel, I feel I add to the support and comment of my overall week experience and a ruined holiday. The room we stayed in was... More

Pleasant enough hotel, but room had warm central heating pipes making it hot and stuffy. Bed was uncomfortable and windows only opened a couple of inches; poor quality of sleep with continuous electrical equipment running outside throughout the night. Reported hot pipes but only response was to use the fan that had been provided; fan was noisier than outside electrical... More

The hotel is a short walk from the beach, which is accessible via the cliff lift (charges apply). It is also a short walk from the town. We had a family room with a nice balcony overlooking the front of the hotel. The room was not one of the updated ones, but it was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a... More

Stayed there for one night in August. Specifically ordered Breakfast for following morning. Wish I had not bothered. The place reminded me of Fawlty Towers, a building of slowly run-down dilapidation, decaying almost before my eyes. Worn carpets throughout, including staircase, with some dodgy stair nosings that were a possible trip hazard. Assorted squeaky floorboards that must have irritated people... More
