As other reviewers have mentioned, it's not the most modern in fixtures and fittings. However the standard of food and the friendliness of the staff easily outweighed the somewhat sad decor. Good overall value. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed here overnight whilst visiting a friend in Bournemouth. The standard of the double room (well, 2 single beds pushed together) was probably worthy of a 1*. Broken fixtures and fittings eg chipboard cupboard in the bathroom had a chunk taken out of it with the Formica trailing onto the dirty floor. Filthy windows, peeling wallpaper, grubby tiles. Breakfast is... More

The second time we have stayed at the Queens Hotel and have really enjoyed it. The good sized room was bright and airy with great views towards Bournemouth centre. The Restaurant, the food, and the service were all excellent. Hotel facilities were all very good with friendly and professional staff. We will stay at the Queens on any future holidays in... More

We stayed at the Queens Hotel for 2 nights & had a very enjoyable stay. The room was clean & tidy although a few bits & pieces needed attending too, such as the bed lights were slightly loose on the wall, but overall very acceptable. The pool was a good size for swimming & the steam room was great. We... More

Stayed at this hotel for 2nights. Staff were really nice and helpful. Food well presented and enjoyable. Although some minor maintenance should have been sorted in our room. Yes we would stay there again.

Been to this hotel three times now, the food is BRILLIANT, rooms are in need of a slight refurb (bunk bed part was broken) 1 minute walk to the beautiful beach, lovely spa and gym BUT the pool is quite small and needs a refurb, overall great place

We bought a package deal for this hotel for one night, with drinks on arrival, dinner and wine, breakfast and access to the spa. We should have researched a little more. On arrival at the hotel it became apparent this is more of a retirement home than a hotel! In our 30's, we were one of what appeared like 2... More

Thank you for taking the time to write. We are lucky enough to appeal to a wide variety of guests of varying ages and desire to visit. I don’t judge a book by its cover and feel the richer for it. Especially with the lighter evenings many of guests have a gentle walk into town; to a café, art gallery... More

I stayed with my daughter for one night last weekend (Saturday). I had booked a family room and we got what we expected - a double bed and a proper sized single bed, which after last year's experience (in London) was very pleasing!! The room was clean and comfortable although could have done with some updating. We didn't have a... More

We visited with our elderly parents. The reception staff were neither welcoming or helpful. First room had no bathroom light. Second room was dirty, pant liner stuck on the wall and the glass was missing from the door spy hole which meant anyone in the corridor could look in. Third room ok but it took over an hour to get... Thank you for taking the time to write a comment about the Hotel. I am appalled that we let you down by not assigning an appropriate bedroom on arriving. I am sorry for the bedrooms not being ready and the time wasted. Thank you for being patient while this was being resolved. I can assure you the front desk team... More

The hotel is in an excellent location, with great views of the ocean, ideal for a weekend break. Room was clean and tidy although we didn't have a great view as we didn't ask for it the other rooms seem to have a good one as it faces the sea.

Thank you for taking the time to write a comment about the Hotel. We only have a handful of bedrooms with sea views, as we are one road back from the seafront, but we do have rooms with balconies that overlook our gardens. Please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss this further. More
