We booked this hotel through last minute.com it was a secret hotel so you only knew the name after you booked it. We were quite pleased to find out that it was the Queens Hotel as I had already looked at booking here. On arrival the hotel looked nice from the outside, the welcome by the receptionist (I think her... More

Two seperate rooms for one night. Excellent value, got these through last minute.com 'mystery hotel' feature at an exceptional rate. As others have stated, the rooms are dated but they are of a good size and clean. Kids very happy with pool (bit chilly for me) and small sauna/steam rooms. Didn't have the evening meal but breakfast at £5 each... More

Stayed at this Hotel for a three night stay over the Bank Holiday with friends and I must say they looked after us very well, we had bed & breakfast and evening meal and we were all very satisfied with the food and the service received, there were twelve in our party and they managed to seat us on a... I recently attended a close friend's wedding at the Queens and I can't fault the experience. The food was fantastic; from the well thought out canapés to the amazing barbecue. I've had a barbecue at a hotel wedding before the options were fairly limited but not at the Queens. Loads of meats, salads, sauces, the works! The cornettos afterward were... More

We stayed as a group of friends, this was utterly confusing to the check in staff who struggled with us being a group and only 1 person paying but eventually figured that out. The hotel had the potential to be lovely and is in a great location but aside from one of our 5 rooms all rooms were shabby and... More

We had a family room. Check in was quick. Spa treatment and staff were excellent. We had a room on the third floor. Old but working lift. Decor of hotel old. Bathroom clean but dusty round the edges. Hot water slow in sink. Rooms very hot. Couldn't turn towel radiator off so bathroom hot. Had to ask for more towels... More

This hotel is certainly trying to be a top hotel and the staff on reception etc are excellent. We actually booked three double rooms and one near a lift and the hotel looked after us in that request. Two rooms were doubles and one room 224 was actually a twin which for one night we really did not want to... More

Dear Travellerclass, Thank you for reviewing your groups recent stay with us, it is with regret that we were unable to create a better impression of our services. The Hotel is currently undergoing a full refurbishment programme where issues with the hotels age like creaking floor boards and old windows are being dealt with at the same time. I do... More

We had a nice stay in this hotel, cant really complain about anything - staff were good - food good - room good - all in all a good stay, will defiantly return. The only criticism would be that we had to wait at the bar because it was so busy. N. East Sussex

The wife and I stayed here for the May Bank holiday. We've been to Bournemouth many times but the first time at the Queens. It's a fairly large hotel with a large car park (you can reserve spaces). Check in was very quick and efficient. We had a room on the 4th floor which was quite quiet (the lift works... More
