Just returned from a weekend at The Cumberland in Bournemouth, everything was just fantastic, the thing that stood out was the 5 star service in all areas, the food was good, breakfast plentiful and with full self service you could help yourself to as much as possible, we booked three rooms and all were very nice and comfortable especially the... more

We decided last minute to take a few days away with our toddler son. Having phoned up, we were offered a very good rate for a standard refurbished room which we booked. Upon arrival, we were offered a complimentary upgrade to a superior sea view room and was assured it had been refurbished. Having seen Trip Advisor's reviews, we know... more

We did not stay here but were part of a celebration dinner on a Sunday. I am unable to find fault with the public rooms and the wonderful meal we had. There were 24 of us to eat and the staff were excellent and proffessional at all times. We chose from the set menu at £14.95 a head. The food... more

We stayed at the Cumberland hotel on a sunday night ,staying in a sea view room .Even though there were three adults there was more than enough room. Bedroom and bathroom very clean .I would always pay the extra for a sea view.A nice touch is the flat screen TV . Had lunch in the hotel ,found staff very helpful.... more

The Hotel decor is outstanding it makes me remember the a Luxurious Hotel in Dubai were I stayed before. However the service is the big PLUS at this Hotel, from reception to restaurant, even the room maids always great with... more

My wife and myself have just returned from the Cumberland. On arrival the reception, bar and lounge areas are modern and comfortable. However, we were given room 126 which is not even of a 1 star standard. The bathroom was dirty to the point where we felt we could not have a shower and come out of it clean. The... more

Thank you for your recent review, I have just inspected room 126, I have to report it is spotless!! The only reference to your review I could find was that the bath panel is coming away, being made of wood it has buckled and the glue does appear to look like dust, other than this it is very clean. the...
