My daughter was married at the Cumberland on 7.8.14 and the wedding planner was Brian. Brian had 10 weeks in which to help my daughter and her fiance plan their wedding due to a family illness. Brian was so helpful, kind and understanding & I can only say helped them plan a seamless wedding. Nothing was too much trouble &... More

We have just come back from a visit to this hotel over the bank holiday weekend for a friends birthday. 8 of us stayed here, all paying the same price - over £220 per room for one night. The size and quality of the room we were given was terrible - not what I at all expected from the hotel... More

I recently stayed at this hotel for two nights. Our room was basic but functional. Unfortunately the room was not as clean as we expected- we found someone else's clothing tag next to the table in our room and dried on shampoo on the tiles, presumably from the previous guest. Had we paid more than£115 per night, myself and my... More

Booked hotel very last minute so expectations of room was not great. However, the bedroom was really clean, nicely decorated. Was not expecting view to be great and wasn't disappointed. The staff, especially Sean the deputy manager could not have been more helpful and very efficient and friendly. The common areas were stylishly decorated. Although the chairs and sofas were... More

The best thing about this hotel is the polite and cheerful, attentive staff and the excellent food and service. Due to the cheerfulness of the staff the hotel had an air of welcome and warmth about it. The decor was fab. I loved the art deco - beautifully done and the 1940/50 music playing throughout just added to the fabulous... More

This is an excellent hotel in many ways. The location, just a short walk away from the beach and the centre of Bournemouth is ideal. It is just far enough away from the crowds to be peaceful without being cut off. There are stunningly spectacular views across the seafront from the cliffs of the Isle of Wight in the distance to the cliffs... More

This is a generally good hotel with very friendly staff. I would stay again but try to have a ground floor room whilst we need the buggy. The car park is quite small for the size of hotel and we had to park on the road where it's free 5pm-9am and around 50p/hour otherwise. We ate dinner in one of... More

Dear nzspider, Thank you for your review. Good review, and kind compliments. Unfortunately alike most hotels in the area we are limited when it comes to car park space. Being fortunate to have the two properties next door, guests are able to use their facilities as a resort. If all full, the sea front road is just £3 for the... More

Although I have already reviewed this hotel within my review of the Oceana Day Spa (in sister hotel Cliffeside) I felt I wanted to comment on here too. A group of us had booked a celebration spa package. The lunch and use of facilites was at the Cumberland following very relaxing treatments at the spa. The lunch was out of... More

Welcoming hotel, basically clean but some attention needed. Food lovely, staff helpful and will definitely be back soon. We went with a 7 year old and 2 x 4 year olds, our daughters and their husbands in their late 20's and early 30's. We are grandparents in our 50's and 60's and it suited all our needs.
