I have just returned from a great weekend in bournemouth with friends, the cliffeside hotel was in a great location just outside the main town. The accomodation was tradditional in style but clean and suited our needs. The restaurant was modern in decor and served a great breakfast. All of the staff were friendly and nothing was to much trouble... more

This hotel has a decent location on the east cliffs, not too far from either the beach or town centre, probably about 10-15 minutes walk to each. We did not choose a sea view room as didn`t want to pay the extra cost. The room was decent enough but could have been a bit cleaner, especially the lamps on the... more

We booked a four poster room throught the internet, had the confirmation to say this was booked. We arrived late thursday night and was given a room on the 4th floor. The room was small and dark and very dated and not as booked a four poster room, not at all the impression given on the Cliffeside website. The smoke... more

Booked online with internet offer from hotel's website on Tues. (4 poster room and B&B)Had email confirmation from Zoe, receptionist. When we turned up on Thurs (2 days after booking and 1 day after the confirmation) we had been "upgraded to a sea view room" as there was no four poster available. Yes you could see the sea from the... more

Firstly, I booked this hotel via octopus travel and it was listed as a 4 - start hotel, only to arrive at the hotel to find it was actually a 3 - star rating. Secondly, when booking the hotel via octopus travel I indicated my children's ages which was 1 and 3 respectively. I also phoned the hotel two days... more

I recently booked my parents-in-law in to the Cliffeside. They hadn't been on holiday for over 5 years and had some mobility issues which meant i was very concerned about access and the helpfulness of staff. All my concerns were put rest within 5 mins of arriving when they were upgraded to a seaview room, with the staff conscious of... more

Booked the one night stay the day before we arrived. For the money we paid it was excellent. Both parties were upgraded to a room with sea view at no extra cost, very comfortable. Breakfast had a good choice and the staff were very attentive. Building and decor may have needed updating and refreshing, but at this price we have... more

It was with some trepidation that we arrived at The Cliffeside for their New Year package having read the somewhat mixed Trip Advisor reviews after booking. We were therefore pleasantly surprised to be directed to a spacious room overlooking the seven glorious miles of Bournemouth seafront. The room itself was extremely comfortably furnished with an adjoining large and modern bathroom.... more

Got this hotel on the internet for a super price, Its right on the seafront, the food is great and the staff could not have been more obliging. They upgraded me to a double room at no cost and I felt so at home. Another great plus is that on the same site you can use the indoor pool and... more
