A hidden gem on the lower ground floor. Fantastic spa. After arriving an hour late due to traffic the two lovely girls put themselves out to fit in my appointment, and one of the best massages I have had. Thanks Lucy.

Small but functional bedroom. Small wardrobe. Bathroom good but scalding hot water that couldn't be altered. I think everyone had this scalding water. Not sure why the boilers can't be turned down. North facing bedroom which was good as kept it cool. View from window was 8 30. Feet banana trees growing in a neighbouring garden. Gorgeous. But also we... More

We recently stayed at the Cliffeside at short notice after my husband had been taken ill the previous week. We should have been going camping therefore needed a relaxing restful break. The Cliffeside did not disappoint and from the moment we arrived we were treated with great courtesy by all of the staff. The hotel is very clean but is... More

From the curiously mismatched (and worn) carpets to the wonky room numbers, this hotel smacks of everything having been done as cheaply as possible. The room was way too hot, the wiring was shoved into conduits which looked horrible, running to skew-whiff block sockets which were not securely attached to the wall. The hairdryer was fixed to the wall by... More

Just got home from a fantastic 9 nights stay. All the staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. We booked rooms with a sea view for dinner, bed and breakfast. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the food was amazing. The evening menu changed daily, all the food was freshly prepared and very tasty throughly recommend this hotel and will be planning... Took my girlfriend away for her birthday to Bournemouth. The hotel staff were lovely and always responded to our needs. however we were woken up on our first morning by the fire alarm as well as having the plumbing peak throughout the night and not having it fixed until the evening the next day. I would also recommend visiting the... More

Location The Cliffside hotel sits opposite the sea in a quiet part of Bournemouth, about a mile from the town centre and pier. As the name implies “Cliffside” occupies a position high above the sea rather than on the beach itself. For those who like a pleasant walk, jog or skate with views of the sea, its location is ideal.... More

Booked this Hotel through Late Rooms (Expedia) opted for a Sea View room paying £178 for one night......on arrival we were initially disappointed at the appearance of the outside....looks like it needs a good makeover to match the other hotels along this road...parking at the front was limited, although we were told we could park at the rear or at... Clean, comfortable, hotel. Was able to use two sister hotels. Meals were excellent in all of them. Staff friendly and helpful, even able to locate my lost cardigan from a restaurant in town. Decor is a little dated in bedrooms but I'm sure they will be reviewing this looking at the beautiful decor of the Cumberland. Can't wait to return.

Ok, arrived expecting so much more on our first visit to this Seaside town. Walked up the red carpeted stairs to the entrance only to find dozens of fag burns in it - not a good first impression, receptionists very pleasant though. Checked our room out without taking our luggage up, it was a dark dingy stained place with aged... More
