This hotel was very shabby and rooms were small. We stayed on a Friday and Saturday night and there was very loud music each night; until 1:00 A.M on the Saturday due to a wedding reception. We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel having read some other reviews for it. Yes the rooms could do with updating (and our room was rather small) but it was clean and comfortable. Stayed here for the bank holiday weekend with family. Booked a family suite and we were shown to a ground floor room. The entrance was just off the reps meeting place. The suite was very nice - although surprisingly the double bed was in a very small room attached to a very large twin room - which the kids had!!... more

Spent the May Bank Holiday weekend here and found it to be very nice. there a a couple of places in the hotel that could do with a touch up but generally everything was very smart. No job was to much trouble. Friendly attentive reception agent and porter happy to help the moment I walked through the door. Room had brand new carpet and bunk beds for the kids. Restaurant managers friendly and also very good with the children. Great homely atmos for a short break holiday. Bar prices a bit high but being reduced soon.... more
