VERY reasonable price wise for food and drinks from bar, we liked the retro real of the place art deco mirrors and furniture ; pool is ok changing area could do with drain as floor was very wet so take flip flops. Thank you very much for your time, we appreciate your fair comments. We have some more refurbishments planned and hope to include some to the outside soon. As a small independent hotel, it takes a little longer to get these things done, than if we were a big four star hotel, who charge a lot more. We still strive to... More

My wife booked up a 1 nights stay for my 50th. The hotel is well placed, 5-6 minute walk gets you to the beach or 10 minutes into town. Nice, welcoming reception, our room was clean, tidy with good decor, flat screen TV, coffee and tea making facilities. For breakfast there is a large choice of cereals, fruit, yoghurts, juices,... When arriving at the hotel it was well presented in the reception area. We made our way to our rooms and there was a strange smell in the corridor and one of the rooms we had booked smelt bad too. When waiting at the bar for a drink we waited half an hour for drinks and the waiter had no... More

Stayed here for 2 nights the beginning of March. As soon as you walk in the appearance is ok, guess it's what you expect for what you pay. However, it literally smells like an old people's home. Our room was downstairs and through the reception area, which I thought was a little odd. . We used the pool facilities, the... More

Thank you for taking the time to comment on our hotel. I can confirm the outdoor pool has now been drained and cleaned and will be filled with fresh water in the next few days, all ready for the forthcoming summer season ahead. As it is not heated, we do not do it too early as it is no one... More

I stayed at the Hintons Firs Hotel with my husband for two nights. Our room was in the cottage. I would have preffered being in the main hotel. The room itself was a decent size and clean. Quite old fashioned decor. The bar was expensive so was the breakfast. The inside pool was nice. The outside pool was horrendous. There... More

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your recent stay with us. I do agree our outdoor pool is not looking its best, due to to the fact we have no cover and its full of winter leaves etc. As we only open it during the high summer (as its not heated) we have a little while to... More

I am very sorry that you feel this is The Worst Hotel that you have been to. I am the first to admit we are not a four or five star hotel, if you require accommodation to this standard you will not get that for the prices we charge (£30 per night). Yes we did refund your money, although we... More

Having worked in demolition for 7 years, buildings like these was something we got a lot of. The building itself and lobby/bar/sitting area was fine. Old style carpets everywhere and an elevator from i dont know when, made it quite cozy and a difference from other hotels. But i could only imagine how cold it would be in the winter,... More

Thank you for your comments. We are doing our best to do refurbishment, but we are unfortunately are not able to close and do everything at once, even though we would like to. As we are a private independent hotel, we can only do small amounts at a time whilst we continue to run. Once again many thanks for your... More

Historically, the hotel was formerly some lucky persons seaside villa which has been gradually extended over the years. We stayed at the hotel for two weeks last August, three nights prior to New Years Eve and three nights last week. We normally stay in a room that has not yet been refurbished as the room suits us. We thoroughly enjoyed... More

With a late rooms flyer offering a room for three, 2 adults and one teenage son, for £31this seemed to be a real bargain! We were not expecting much, particularly with one or two negative reviews. However, the room was well furnished, clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff were friendly and we asked for the sauna to be... More

A good value 3 night break. Nice sized, clean room. Shower a little feeble and had to let out airlock in a fussy hot water tap. A fire alarm went off spontaneously three times during visit, somewhat jarring my nerves. Bournemouth is clearly very hot during the month of February. Spotless and comfortable interior upstairs and down. Friendly staff generallly.... More
