Stayed here 1 night. The hotel staff are attentive, the rooms a bit tired, but clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good and cooked to order and staff attentive. The location is superb and very short walk to the funicular to a very sandy beach.

This is a family run hotel and it shows. We arrived late afternoon to be greeted by the General Manger who came onto the coach to welcome us. Sometimes coach parties are treated in an inferior fashion, so this was a pleasant surprise. The tea/coffee and biscuits added to the welcoming atmosphere. A member of staff made a point of... More

We just stayed here overnight on a coach trip to Jersey so I don't claim to have the 'full picture'. The room was of a good standard for a 3 star hotel, and we slept well, no problems there. The dinner was good. The hotel is in a nice spot, very close to the beach and an easy walk into... More

Thank you for your comments. You are quite right there was one or two issues with the breakfast with the party that you were with, for which I am very sorry. Unfortunately when I took this late booking, for two coaches, the tour company did not mention anything at all about going to Jersey and the the ferry would leaving... More

Just returned from a four night stay. Our second visit to this hotel, can't really fault it,offering good value for money. Very well run and nothing too much trouble for Nick the manager I must add that Nick is one of the best hotel managers I have met. Excellent staff and good service with breakfast and evening meals all of a... More

We stayed at this hotel for three days. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by a grunt from reception as we were quoted a lower price than we should have been when booking, this price was however was on the booking confirmation so they honored the price. There was no friendly hello, it was literally nothing, just a your in room... More

Thank you very much for your comments, I am of course very disappointed to hear that the reception team were not friendly and welcoming, as this is the normal comments that we tend to get from guests staying with us. I will of course be looking into this, as it is most important to us. Thank you for your time. More

Thank you very much for your time, we appreciate your fair comments. We have some more refurbishments planned and hope to include some to the outside soon. As a small independent hotel, it takes a little longer to get these things done, than if we were a big four star hotel, who charge a lot more. We still strive to... More

My wife booked up a 1 nights stay for my 50th. The hotel is well placed, 5-6 minute walk gets you to the beach or 10 minutes into town. Nice, welcoming reception, our room was clean, tidy with good decor, flat screen TV, coffee and tea making facilities. For breakfast there is a large choice of cereals, fruit, yoghurts, juices,... When arriving at the hotel it was well presented in the reception area. We made our way to our rooms and there was a strange smell in the corridor and one of the rooms we had booked smelt bad too. When waiting at the bar for a drink we waited half an hour for drinks and the waiter had no... More

I am very sorry that you did not enjoy your stay at our hotel. I am am sure you feel your comments are genuine, but you must agree that it is very strange, when these are compared to other peoples who say that our staff are warm and friendly, welcoming and try hard to please. It sounds like two different... More

Stayed here for 2 nights the beginning of March. As soon as you walk in the appearance is ok, guess it's what you expect for what you pay. However, it literally smells like an old people's home. Our room was downstairs and through the reception area, which I thought was a little odd. . We used the pool facilities, the... More

Thank you for taking the time to comment on our hotel. I can confirm the outdoor pool has now been drained and cleaned and will be filled with fresh water in the next few days, all ready for the forthcoming summer season ahead. As it is not heated, we do not do it too early as it is no one... More

I stayed at the Hintons Firs Hotel with my husband for two nights. Our room was in the cottage. I would have preffered being in the main hotel. The room itself was a decent size and clean. Quite old fashioned decor. The bar was expensive so was the breakfast. The inside pool was nice. The outside pool was horrendous. There... More

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your recent stay with us. I do agree our outdoor pool is not looking its best, due to to the fact we have no cover and its full of winter leaves etc. As we only open it during the high summer (as its not heated) we have a little while to... More
