I booked this hotel as after reading all the bad reviews thought how could it really be that bad. the room and bath room were very clean and as it was -5 outside the heating was on full and the room was very warm and cosy. Had no problems at all until I decided to take a bath in the... More

Have just returned from a four night break at this hotel travelling with Just Go holidays. We were first allocated a double bedroom that was so small we asked if we could be moved. The reception staff were most accommodating and moved us to a room at the front of the building, laughingly called an executive room. The room was... More

Like a previous reviewer we were at the Heathlands on a Just Go coach holiday. As regular coach holiday travellers this was our first experience of Just Go and sadly may be our last if this is the standard of hotel they normally use. Our room was large and on the front with a bay window but the curtains had... More

Where do I start - No heating they knew this when I checked in but just forgot to mention it! The hotel was freezing and no offer of a heater was made. The room does not even have a table to write on and the TV is so small you need a magnifying glass to see it. It is not... More

Room had no heating, a greenhouse type oil filled radiator was supplied but did not warm the room at all. The window faced onto the Queens hotel extractor system and constantly hummed apart form every 15 minutes when it... More

We stayed at the Heathlands in January. we were on a coach tour and we found the hotel very well presented. The staff were lovely, the food was very very good and plenty of it, the rooms were comfortable and clean. Can find nothing wrong with the hotel (except to say the toast in the mornings could be toasted a... More

I stayed in heathlands practically every week from september 2010 until january 2012.It's hard to know how to describe the hotel,it's a budget break offering good value for money...no,it's not perfect, but it's well situated, breakfast is excellent, all the staff are friendly and helpful and the recent changes Paula has made will surely improve things. At times the hotel feels rather warm, almost as... We booked a last minute short break, We got a really good deal (£28 per night inc. breakfast) which we found on the Britannia website. We requested a nice room as it was my boyfriend's birthday and when we got there they had allocated us a "Executive Suite" which was very spacious. The room was clean, but there was some... More

We stayed 1 night at the Heath-lands in January , and it was a pleasant stay. The staff were really nice on reception and were helpful. Our room was a basic budget room, with no window, but was really clean and a good size. The room was good value for money, but again hotel could have done with a lick... More
