I think this was once a nice hotel but it really needs some love. The staff at reception were really friendly and I could see there were some good points. However my room was hot, the fan was broken, the view from my window was a bit insalubrious and the lift was broken. I probably won't stay again.

This hotel has been on the decline now for a couple of years! If, like me, you are visiting Bournemouth on Business, do not expect to be able to work effectively......the Internet access at the hotel is shocking to non-existent. In most hotels, the Internet connection is sufficient to stream media such as the odd football match, if you have... More

I would love to know how on earth this hotel got or retained its four stars. Firstly , I have to say the staff I met were lovely , so it's in no way their fault as far as I'm concerned. The interior is dated with 70's textured wallpaper. I was given a room with a "king bed" which was... More

We were given a "Champagne Tea for Two" and decided to use the voucher at the Hallmark Hotel. On arrival we were told that we had booked for lunch - I know I had not booked for lunch ( at 3pm ?) they insisted that we had - but that they could arrange for us to have tea instead -... More

Got a good B&B deal for a mid week night. I've stayed in other Hallmark hotels and had been impressed by the quality in these others. This one was decent but not as good.. Check in was ok but there were computer issues which slowed it down. I was told to get to my room using the lift but the... More

Stayed for 2 nights. Main building very shabby and couldn't believe the lift still wasn't working, which I believe has been out of action for some time. Very .understaffed. Sat and had a pre-dinner drink before going out for a meal in Bournemouth only to come back a good 2 hours later to sit at the same seats only to... More

I booked my husband and I in for a spa and lunch on a whim one day when we were off work and the kids were at school. The facilities are reasonable though there are signs that some minor maintenance work could do with being done. The sauna has some loose bits of wood, the steam room could do with... More

Was treated to a spa break for my hen do. Overall I can't fault the breakfast and dinner or service from the reception, bar or restaurant staff, who were all under staffed, however the room quality are definitely not that of a 4 star hotel. The hotel restaurant & bar look modern but the rest needs serious updating or maintenance... More

Attended a BNI Breakfast here. The staff were discrete and friendly, the breakfast lovely (as only a full English can be!). The room was a good size providing plenty of room to circulate and mingle and to sit and meet.

Went for afternoon tea with my mum and sisters.very overpriced for what we got which was 4 triangle sandwiches with hardly any filling and bread was quite dry.scones were nice but can't believe they can charge £20per person for that.not much atmosphere, when I called to book I was told it would be busy but there was no one in the...
