I was almost put off by some of the reviews, but found the Best Western Royale an excellent hotel. Booked for one night to see Seal in Bournemouth. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Room (one of their chalet rooms) spacious and very clean, ensuite immaculate. Inexpensive bar, free WiFi and good food. Public rooms airy and clean and the... more

I just wanted to leave a review for others ( i don't usually do these), but the hotel was great and i would highly recommend it to people looking for somewhere to stay in Bournemouth. I went with a group of friends for a weekend away and had a great time. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was... more

we had toleave in a hurry because our little girl was sick - the management could not have been more helpful. They went beyond all expectations and as we had a long journey ahead they even gave us a goodie bag for the trip!! The room was lovely and big and we only had breakfast which was superb. We will... more

much better than the reviews would indicate - food and service very good and the reception staff couldn't be more helpful. Room was clean and had necessary bits and pieces - yes we would come again and good value. more

We stayed on a business trip and had very nice rooms, breakfast buffet very good each day and girls at desk couldn't do enough for us. Well located for beach and town pubs etc. Would recommend and stay again more

We booked 2 rooms for myself, my hubby & 85yr old mum-in-law for 2 days. Both rooms were small but clean. However, hotel water pressure is so low there was only a drip from the shower - a fact the hotel knew but chose not to share with us. In my opinion they shouldn't have been hiring the rooms out... more

First impression is not too bad. Nice lobby, good big restaurant. Bar is too small - lots of seating, but when it got busy the service dropped off as the actual bar counter is so small. As someone else pointed out, the lift is somewhat cosy - 3 people at most, or 1 plus suitcase. Room was a let down... more

The hotel is cheap and cheerful. We paid £65.00 bed and breakfast for 2 people for a Friday night via the hotels own website. The hotel was clean and tidy and staff friendly. The bedroom was clean. The double bed was very small and needed replacing. The shower in the bathroom had very little pressure. The breakfast was adequate for... more

Arrived at this impressive looking building on a cold evening and it looked inviting, or so I thought! Check-in was painfully slow, but got through in the end. One 4-person lift for a three storey 120 room hotel is inadequate for the demands of that hotel. Room 116 was clean, tidy, but could certainly do with redecorating, the narrow almost-slit... more
