We got a very nice double room with a balcony, spacious with lovely sea view and aircondition. The staff was very helpful, and we could borrow towels for bathing. Nice pool with poolbar. We left the hotel at 04.30 in the morning, and the hotel staff had prepared a full breakfast for us. Quite expensive hotel, but worth it!

Had a really nice break at this hotel, excellent food and very helpful staff, nothing to much trouble, the leisure facilities were very good offering indoor and outdoor pools, hot tub, sauna gym etc with lots of fluffy white towels, our room was on the third floor with a very good bathroom, spacious, view out to sea, beach and pier... Booked last minute for one night away just me and my dog, and chose this hotel for the fact it had a pool, sea views and was dog friendly. Booked a double room (No. 116) with balcony and sea view which came with breakfast included. The room was really lovely with the best balcony in the hotel (from what I... More

We booked the hotel 18 months ago to hold our wedding reception, from day one the hotel was welcoming and helpful. I stayed there the night before the wedding as did a few other guests. We were very happy to arrive at 1pm to find out some rooms were ready to check in, I had upgraded to a suite and... More

Have stayed here a couple of times now very comfortable ,clean and the staff are all helpful. The swimming pool was clean and heated which was pleasant . The spa unfortunately there were no price lists and no therapists there to ask ? but good all round.

We stayed 5 nights in a sea view room. Yes, the décor is dated and 'of a type'. It is however still comfortable, very clean and well maintained. The staff were unfailingly helpful, efficient, polite, and friendly in a professional way - a big asset for the hotel and such nice people! In the restaurant, the food is unfailingly excellent.... We did not choose to go here as friends had booked it for us. The professional pictures do look amazing though, but the reality is that it's all a bit dated and old fashioned. I prefer more of a modern look, but don't mind the right kind of old fashioned, this was more granny style than classy real old rather... More

. 5th July 2014 Family Event at the Carlton Bournemouth. This was my first visit to the Carlton and the occasion was to celebrate my uncle-in-law's 90th birthday. The hotel was busy and there was a wedding celebration going on at the same time. The weather was fine and there were many people around the very pretty pool set in... More

My wife I stayed at the Carlton Hotel for one night last week. It has been several years since I last stayed here on business. The rooms have been upgraded but much of the reception and public area's have had little attention. The one lift the second down from the reception is still old and tired and needs a refurb.... More

Great service from all the staff. The outdoor swimming pool with heated water is really nice. The location close to the path down to the beach and with the pier and town in walking distance is just perfect. Large rooms. Squeaky floor in hallway and stairs
