We stayed in Bournemouth for a weekend to visit friends, and stayed in the Ashleigh for two nights. If tripadvisor would let me, I probably would have awarded a 3.5, but decided to round up! It was perfect for what we needed, in that it was very good value, clean and comfortable. There has clearly been some recent care and... More

My partner and I stayed in the Ashleigh Fri and sat night weekend just gone and it was perfect for what we needed. Had booked the room before I new I was having a hip operation and when we arrived I was expecting stairs. The owners offered us a ground floor room as she could swap us if needed. Very... More

I stayed at The Ashleigh with my partner for 2 nights between 25 - 27th July, having booked it through Hotels.Com. We arrived at approx 4.30pm and warmly greeted by one of the owners. We were informed how to get in to town (literally a 10 minute walk away) and also if we needed anything to just let them know.... More

Thank you for taking the time to do this, we will try to help if we can as it is better to get a good review and a returning customer rather than a bad review and a non returning customer. But at times ! I am sure you know what we mean, hope to see you again. More

I booked The Lodge next door (same owners and slightly cheaper price than the Ashleigh) but upon arrival I was unexpectedly upgraded to The Ashleigh as they had a room available. Very friendly staff who like a bit of banter (that's a plus in my eyes). The room was nicely decorated and very clean plus I had a superb nights... More

Glad you enjoyed the stay, if I have a room available I will upgrade guests depending on circumstances. You should have asked about the beach it is just behind us less than 1/2 a mile, if I knew which taxi firm I would be straight on the phone. Trust you will be back soon. More

Me and my mum stayed at The Ashleigh last weekend. I called the day before to ask if we could check-in early, and was told this was no problem. We arrived early, and not only could we drop our bags off, the room was all ready for us too. We had a lovely stay, and nothing seemed too much trouble.... More

We stopped for an overnighter this weekend at The Ashleigh. It was reasonably priced, the rooms were well turned out and the breakfast was good too. Considering it was July and a weekend night, they could probably get away with charging a bit more. The only thing that lets it down if you're wanting somewhere near the beach is it's... More

Glad you had a good time, but next time look at the photo by the front door, the sea is behind us less than half a mile 7/8 minutes to the cliff top. Yes should charge more! Thanks again More

You really couldint ask for a better place to stay. Everything you need from a hotel packed into this perfectly located ray of sunshine. My stay at the hotel made my time here so much easier. I will be returning. Thank you.

Our room was very dark and small, not very inviting from outside and too far away from town to walk for older guests. Not a very friendly atmosphere at all. No where to put suitcases ,ours had to go back in the car.

Sorry you were upset but as you had a free upgrade to the garden room with its 6ft wide floor to ceiling wardrobe a little surprised you could not fit a suitcase in it, the large window and door to the back garden does have a dark blind which lifts up to use the door giving access directly to the... Whoever wants to complain about the hotel needs to shut up really. Moaning for no reason. Member of staff was friendly helpful and funny. Thank you for leaving this review, we have so many returning guests who never bother to leave a review as they are happy, but of course anyone who has an issue turns to an anonymous forum.
