We stopped for an overnighter this weekend at The Ashleigh. It was reasonably priced, the rooms were well turned out and the breakfast was good too. Considering it was July and a weekend night, they could probably get away with charging a bit more. The only thing that lets it down if you're wanting somewhere near the beach is it's... More

Glad you had a good time, but next time look at the photo by the front door, the sea is behind us less than half a mile 7/8 minutes to the cliff top. Yes should charge more! Thanks again More

You really couldint ask for a better place to stay. Everything you need from a hotel packed into this perfectly located ray of sunshine. My stay at the hotel made my time here so much easier. I will be returning. Thank you.

Thank you for taking the time to do this, trouble is with these sites people with an axe to grind use them others just return to us and support us by being regular guests. I know which we prefer! See you soon I hope More

Our room was very dark and small, not very inviting from outside and too far away from town to walk for older guests. Not a very friendly atmosphere at all. No where to put suitcases ,ours had to go back in the car.

Sorry you were upset but as you had a free upgrade to the garden room with its 6ft wide floor to ceiling wardrobe a little surprised you could not fit a suitcase in it, the large window and door to the back garden does have a dark blind which lifts up to use the door giving access directly to the... My husband and I had enjoyed 2 days in Bournemouth in a b and b near the beach. We were due to travel back that day, but sat in a beer garden enjoying the glorious sunny weather, we decided it was too nice to go back home just yet......so I got on my phone and searched the internet for local... Whoever wants to complain about the hotel needs to shut up really. Moaning for no reason. Member of staff was friendly helpful and funny. I would defiantly come back to this hotel when the weather is a bit warmer. Bedroom was big which I wanted. The only thing I can say is the room was cold but hopefully they sort... More

Thank you for leaving this review, we have so many returning guests who never bother to leave a review as they are happy, but of course anyone who has an issue turns to an anonymous forum. We try hard to get it right sometimes we mess up and then we hold our hands up, but all in all not often... More

I stayed for one night. I arrived tired, cold, wet (and pregnant) after a 7 hour journey. Not wanting to venture alone into the local red light district to get food I had purchased a ready meal and asked for it to be warmed. . This was refused on entirely bogus 'health and safety' grounds by the surly owner who... More

Hi Little puzzled about this as I am out of the country and the Ashleigh closed until next Friday 24th as we are repairing painting etc. But I let the readers make up there own minds. More

I stayed in this hotel back in October, with my partner for the Bournemouth running festival. We chose to stay here mostly because of the location. It was nicely placed compared to both the start and finish line of the marathon. It was my first stay in a Bed and Breakfast, so I must admit that I wasn't too sure... More

What can I say about this place. I stayed here earlier this year in the peak of the summer. It was my first time going to Bournemouth (and probably my last). I parked outside the hotel which was handy, some overly aggressive man came from across the street and told me I have move my car because I was on... More

Stayed for just two nights for a concert at the Pavilion. It was a treat !Location for us was ideal, with a straight road into the town centre a brisk 20 minute walk. Room was well appointed, with all necessary comforts. Nice and quiet, with no traffic noise. Bus stop outside the door. Superb breakfast served by owner and staff.... More

Stayed for one night, room plenty big enough for the 3 of us, travel cot provided which we didn't use as it was too small. Not hotels fault. Thank you for taking the time to post your review. Although it is fairly positive we are a little confused. It was I, Julie, who checked you in. I remember chatting to you and laughing with and talking to your lovely happy baby. So who the man was we can't be sure? Maintenance man perhaps, was he another guest even?... More
