This hotel was a joke, my girlfriend and I stayed here for one night along with friends on a night out and it was without question the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Our room was so dirty and the bed was so old it was falling apart, our friends who were staying in another room had an even worse... More

The hotel is fine for what we wanted. A cheap night where all we'd be doing is sleeping for 6ish hours at the end of the night. We spent all night in town, the hotel is in a leech loavtion and five minutes walk from bars, clubs and restaurants. The hotel on the other hand was not the best! We... More

This hotel is in urgent need of updating, but this is reflected in the low price for an excellent central location. The staff try their best to make the most of what's there, which isn't much. It's cheap (it presumably has to be for the numerous migrants/asylum seekers and football fans staying there), has good value parking on site and... More

For the small amount I paid for my night’s stay at The Roundhouse I can’t really complain. However if I was a full paying patron, I would be quite disappointed in the ‘hotel’ standards. Let me firstly say that the staff were all exceptionally pleasant and accommodating. The physical is appearance of the hotel is ratty and shabby. The public... More

We didn't expect much as we didn't pay much. One night visit with my friends for our friends 21st birthday. People were loud (I'm sure we were too) and we were mixed in with people who were probably on vacation, not fair on us or them as the tiniest amount of noise was heard through the hotel's paper thin walls.... This hotel is dirty and rundown and desperately needs a refurbishment, breakfast was plentiful but of poor quality and the tea was lukewarm and grey. On the plus side the staff were nice and had a reasonable grasp of English which was probably a help to the economic refugees the UK government were putting up there....

I work away from home and on my short W/E off, Thursday afternoon to Saturday morning, it is a long way to drive back to Cornwall. Given this I normally book a hotel within a certain radius of my work place. I believe it is important to get away from work, otherwise I would remain involved during my time off... More
