Rooms were small and a bit shabby, bathroom not very clean. Staff was okay, but not very friendly. The breakfast was very good, a lot of choice. The street was very noisy, so I couldn't sleep well. I'd go for another hotel.

The lounge and restaurant look a little tired, but the staff are friendly and the breakfast buffet was up to scratch. Our room was generously proportioned and we were not unduly bothered by traffic noise. One could do worse than stay here if you wanted an inexpensive hotel break in Bournemouth, or are here for business purposes but on a... More

We booked the holiday a month prior to travelling there and when we found out online about all the bad reviews I try to change the hotel but that meant to lose all the money . So we went there with no expectections what so ever. Altough we got there earlier than cheking in time, the receptionist was very nice... More

The location of the hotel is excellent, right in the city centre, within walking distance to all the main attractions, 5 mins to the beach, 5 mins to the main shopping areas/parks. But the building/hotel itself was so dated, I don't think they have updated anything since it was built. We stayed in room 518 and my wife noticed the... More

After reading the reviews prior to my visit I really wasn't looking forward to staying here, however, it wasn't as bad as I was expecting, it's by no means a great place to stay, but it wasn't as awful as I had feared! Parking was easy to access, although trying to park in a round car park was a challenge... More

We had booked the hotel online for £60 for 1 night room only. We arrived at about 7pm after a long drive and just wanted to freshen up and go and find something to eat. We parked in the hotels car park, checked in at a very shabby reception. We were allocated room 512, the walls up the stairs and... More

• The check in was efficient and friendly. • To go into the bar was to venture back in time to the 1970s! • The lift was overcrowded with people with really smelly take away food. • The corridor to our rooms on the 5th floor was tatty. • The facilities were poor for a modern hotel, we couldn’t even... We stayed at the hotel for one Saturday night which we booked online the day before the visit. We arrived prior to check in time, we didn't expect the room to be ready but was hoping to be able to leave the car in the car park and go into town. The car park is part of the hotel but... More

reception looked clean, receptionist friendly and helpful, room was shabby to say the least.eg, hole in the wall behind the door, dirty door, dust on everything, lots of dust under bedroom furniture, tissues under the bed, definte signs of previous guests, bathroom was tatty with mould stains on grouting and sealant, missmatched fittings. On the positive, there was lots of hot water, the towels... More

The hotel is particularly popular with package holiday / coach trip visitors of the older generation. It features "live" music in the bar on most evenings, but the use of the word "live" as a description of the entertainment on offer is somewhat questionable. The rooms are adequate if a little tired, whilst the breakfast was a buffet style offering... More
