This hotel has alot going for it, great location, great staff, great facilities, however, there is defiantly room for improvement. We stayed in a suite which had some history attached to it, the space was fantastic, though the decoration was of the period it was very worn and shabby. Furthermore, having a dirty coffee stain on the dresser and a... More

It is always good to try and start a review that will contain negative feedback with any positive points that can be made. Regrettably that is not even remotely possible with The Royal Bath Hotel, Bournemouth. This jaded, faded, tired and tatty establishment is appalling in all respects - accommodation, customer service, standard and quality of food and drink, cost... More

My wife and I stayed there for three nights with about 400 others for a conference and party. My first alarm bell rang when I called to find out about car parking facilities, only to find out that to call the hotel you have to use a premium rate number. The consequent feeling that we'd be squeezed for every penny... More

As a family we stayed in the Royal Bath for a weekend in May. The hotel was very busy and every visit to reception involved a long que and wait, no matter what time you went. Our room was average, which at first was almost impossible to find as it along with several other rooms do not show on any... More

We have stayed in Bournemouth many times and I booked this 4 star hotel expecting more than the 2 and 3 star hotels we've stayed in before, but it was very disappointing. The reasons being we stayed in a club double room which was a basic 2 star room, very small and stuffy with basic amenitities that was tucked away... More

My wife and I recently enjoyed a two night stop here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I've been visiting Bournemouth all of my life and have often shuffled past the Royal Bath and been in envy of the lucky few who could enjoy its [original] 5* billing. It may no longer be 5* but much of the original charm is... More

I thought it was a good hotel and seemed very plush and grand. Admittedly I was only there one fairly brief night (arrived after 9.00 pm, left the following morning at 7.00 am) but I was impressed with my room, nice size the bed was very comfortable and clean, good facilities and the bathroom/shower was excellent, again all very clean.... I know Bournemouth hotels really don't have to try very hard but I think a minimum level of quality, customer care and comfort is required. Long waits for reception service, indifferent front of house staff were a portend of a poor stay. A very tired and ill matched room, with various faults (lights, phone) located in a very poorly signposted... More

So I was given the gift of going down to Bournemouth with my boyfriend with two nights stay at the royal bath hotel. I was pretty anxious upon arrival as I had read all the bad reviews written, but I knew that I should go in with no expectations therefore I wouldn't be disappointed. We got a taxi from the... More
