Our stay began on a leisurely Friday afternoon. We had taken the Friday as holiday and booked a night here before a spa day at another local hotel. I pulled the car into the entrance and went to check in. To begin with, when I thought I had paid online, this apparently was only a £77 deposit and my card... More

We last stayed here about 6 years ago and we had a very tatty room. This time I asked for a refurbished room, but was given a large room with a sea view. We were on an all half board with wine deal. The house red is a Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon and very tasty. Dinner was excellent. Service throughout was... More

On arrival we were not shown to our rooms and had to circum navigate the entire hotel to find it. Direction was given by means of which color carpet we should walk on and rooms are not in a chronological order. Eventually we found our room which was for all intensive purposes, a cupboard! No windows or natural light and... More

My wife and I stayed for one night on the all inclusive package which included a bottle of wine. We had stayed there before, some 20 years ago and it was magnificent. Sadly the Hotel has received over that period little to no maintenance. Our room with a sea view was in dire need of complete refurbishment, the furniture, bed,... More

Had a Saturday night stay bed, breakfast and 3 course meal with wine. All staff very friendly. Reception staff excellent. Had a beautiful room (room 260). Used the car parking facility - very good service.Evening meal was buffet service and quite basic but still enjoyable. It is an old hotel but so full of character - long may it continue.

Without doubt the Hotel could do with updating but its grandeur is fantastic. We stayed for 1 night on a special winter deal which included room, buffet dinner with a bottle of wine and buffet breakfast. The food, although nothing fancy, was very good and piping hot. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable and although... More

I travelled on business, on my own, this was my 2nd stay. I have never written a negative review before so this is quite an achievement Royal Bath! My first stay wasn't great, bedroom window was stuck open (during November!) shower had no pressure etc but I thought I would give it another chance due to the perfect location. 2nd... More

This was the first hotel in Bournemouth and has a magnificent position perched on the clifftop just above the beach. A five minute walk takes you to the beach and pier; the very attractive lower gardens and the town centre. Right next door is the Russell Coates museum;a must visit for its Art Noveau rooms and splendid paintings. The Royal... More
