Booked this last minute for a weekend away. Chose to stay in a public car park - much cheaper and very near by. The receptionist was helpful and polite, however no one offered to assist with our luggage. We were very pleased to see that we were upgraded to a room with a huge balcony which overlooked the lovely grounds... More

Over the Christmas Holidays I stayed in the Royal Bath (for a second time) with my boyfriend as a gift. Included in the stay was dinner, a bottle of wine, breakfast, a spa treatment and afternoon tea. I absolutely loved every minute of it. We stayed in a very large, sea facing room, which I would thoroughly recommend requesting if... More

In its day this was probably one of the most prestigious hotels in Bournemouth, but not any more! I paid just short of £100 for a room on a Saturday night in January and was told at reception that I had been upgraded to a room with a window - how lucky was I? Bearing in mind this hotel overlooks... More

I had never been to the Royal Bath Hotel before but visited on Saturday last, January 30th, for a Black Tie Dinner organised by the Chinese Community. The event was to support the Mayor of Bournemouth's Charities for the year and also to raise funds for the Chinese School based in Moordown. There was a drinks reception in the lounge... More

They often have good value deals at the Royal Bath, i have stayed a couple of times if we are going to Bournemouth for the evening, much better than getting a taxi home (normally cheaper too). Has a grand old hotel feel about it which is nice if your into that sort of thing. Bar area feels dated although its... More

That is what the so called manager said to me! Paid £396 for a double executive room DBB for 2 nights for 2 people! Not cheap! Room was cold, shabby, dirty and bed clothes were stained, which they took away but did not replace. Certainly not executive! I rang to ask for heating in the room as the old heating... More

A grand old establishment which has been sadly miscast as a budget hotel. We wanted to book concert tickets online; there is no provision for guest computer access. The food is awful and half the items on the menu were not available. There was all-night noise from the room above. Cleaning staff knocked on the door for access at 0830... More

Have just returned from lunch in the bar of the Royal Bath hotel. On a very wet and windy day, ordered the 'soup of the day with crusty bread' which cost £5. Was presented with a very thin watery vegetable soup, with 1 slice of what looked like white 'value' bread. Asked the waitress what had happened to the crusty... More
