Sadly Britannia Hotels now own it, say no more really, but for info if you look at other Britannia Hotels you will see a very clear trend in customer feedback- majority sing... More

All the plates were chipped badly and I had pre ordered a set of sandwiches with no butter. On mentioning this the waiter huffed and puffed!!! My friend is allergic to butter. Then we... More

Well where do I start??? We arrived to a queue more than 20 long waiting to check in. When we eventually got to the front the receptionist simply asked 'name?' Payment was then demanded upfront, which I had no choice but to pay. Not what I would expect from this level of hotel. He then stamped our room card and... More

Location is just about the only plus for this hotel . No actually the staff was very friendly and apologetic for the lack of staff. They new they were way understaffed and we're empathetic to the guests. We paid 260 pounds per night for a room , we had no room service ( they were too busy for room service... More

I stayed for one night and it was a bad mistake. I had the worst night's sleep for many a year. It was terrible. The room was awful. The whole experience was awful. Such a shame to see such a Grand Hotel on its knees.
