We stayed for 3 nights as 2 couples weekend just gone. Checkin was very slow, with a lot of customers in front of us having problems with bookings not being found. While waiting a porter told us the call it 'The Royal laugh' because of all the cockups made! The communication between departments is bad, reception and housekeeping just don't... More

Avoid this hotel. The room had a badly cracked wash basin, there was a connecting door to another room that was panelled over but this still allowed all the noise from next door through to our room. The patio was littered with cigarette ends. The towels were small white and cheap. Oscars the restaurant was poor, half a slice of... More

Recently stayed at this hotel (I stayed here about 8 years ago for a friends hen doo and it was totally 'fine' nothing more nothing less but certainly clean) a lot has changed in that time... Run by a foreign group of people who speak very bad english and have no customer service skills whatsoever. A real shame. Bedroom was... More

I had been up since 4 30am and was in Bournemouth for work. I arrived at the Royal Bath Hotel at around 20 15, first shock, the car parking is an extortionate £20 per night. I was told that a public car park was available over the road at substantially less. I chose this option. I arrived back at the... More

The hotel itself is a rather nice old building in a fantastic location. We stayed for two nights in July 2014. It has some lovely grounds which are well maintained with some great sea views. It's literally 100 yards down the hill to the pier. The staff were always helpful if a little slow at times, (we waited half an... More

This used to be the flag ship hotel in Bournemouth, but now it is just poor!!.......it looks like nothing has been upgraded or decorated in decades, the staff are rude and ill informed, and when we went to reception this morning we had to queue behind a line of people complaining about a whole host of problems. Our rooms were... More

Travelling as a couple, we booked the Royal Bath using a Wowcher promotion which cost £110 and was definitely not worth the money spent. Upon arrival we discovered that parking was £20 for 24 hours and instead chose to park at a local car park for substantially less. We then checked in and were given verbal instructions on how to... I stayed overnight at this hotel with my husband on his birthday weekend. Initial impressions were good, check in was fine, our room was very spacious and looked OK although the bathroom was very tired, so initially we thought it was OK. Our rate included dinner at a reasonable price, so we decided to eat in the restaurant. The service... More
