This hotel is a bit of a warren inside, with lots of creaky stairs going this way and that. But that adds to its character. It's very clean, the staff are lovely, and the food is to die for. It's on a main road so can be noisy but it didn't bother me that much, although my room overlooked the... More

Our first time in Bournemouth on a 5 day coach tour. This hotel combined an ideal location, being only 5 minutes walk away from the Town Centre and beach, with comfortable warm rooms and food and service which would not be out of place in a four star hotel. The range of food, efficiently served up by engaging staff, was... More

We have stayed at The Mayfair twice now. It is clean and comfortable and the food is very good. The staff are helpful and friendly. We will be back again next autumn to enjoy the pleasant ballroom and good company

Stayed at the Mayfair over New Year and found the hotel to be excellent - the situation is excellent (approx 5 min walk from the town centre and a few minutes more to the seafront) - plenty of car parking. The hotel is clean, warm and comfortable in all areas - the staff were fantastically friendly and helpful (a credit)... More

Had another lovely weekend dancing at the Mayfair. As always very friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Food is excellent and staff professional and helpful. Ample parking and bus stop right outside hotel - plenty of buses.

Here for a dancing holiday. Amazed at how well the waiting staff serve the meals and cope with people coming down to breakfasts at various times on same table. Dinners also served quickly and methodically. Food excellent. Rooms clean and comfortable. Lots of stairs to contend with and easy to get lost due to the layout, but overall, very impressed.... We stayed for two nights in room 19. We found the hotel to be centrally located where bars, restaurants, were all within easy reach by walking. On arrival there were no parking spaces available but reception rang the hotel next door and arranged a space there which solved that problem. We found our room to be clean, but very outdated.... Stayed at The Mayfair in a group of 36 Sequence Dancers for 5 nights and had a great time. The hotel is very conveniently situated for the town centre and also the sea being a few minutes walk away, it is well served with buses covering all local areas. Rooms are very comfortable, the food was excellent, varied, beautifully cooked... More
