Stayed here with my 2 daughters for one night. Car park FAR too small, got the last space - spaces very tight too. Friendly staff, hotel clean, but could do with refurbishment. We had the family room, which took ages to find, felt like we were in a maze! Woke the following morning to find our shower wasnt working. The... more

We thank you for taking the time to add a review of the Mayfair hotel. I would like to apologise for the shower not working - after investigating the thermostat had gone and we were able to rectify this immediatley. It was myself that offered a breakfast free of charge to you. I offered this immediatley as you were departing...

On arrival, very nice and friendly, very helpful staff. But finding the room was like going through a maze. Old fashioned decor, and way too hot. The room was ok, but the bed was like a slab of stone and really small. Paper thin walls, so we were woken by a number of people that were part of a large... more

We have just stayed at the Mayfair for a family party, and can only say that the experience was surprisingly good. The bedrooms we booked were all clean, and comfortable, with nothing negative at all. Location of the hotel is 5 minutes walk from the seafront, and 1 minutes walk from loads of food/drink options, should you feel the need!... more

Came to Bournemouth for the first time and this place is in dire need of a refurb. We were charged £110 for one night's stay for two people. Quite shocking given that my local Hilton in Docklands, London offers a far better experience for only £84! And we all expect to be ripped off in London! The reception was tardy,... more

Mayfair Hotel 12/13 July. I canot rate the Mayfair highly enough, from the moment I walked in the door, both staff and other visitors where friendly and welcoming. Service could not be faulted and ranked excellent and better than that I have received in other higher star hotels. It has a warm cosy atmosphere and my room was roomy and... more

Took a group of 34 people to stay here on a half board basis. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was very good. They provided entertainment and also a good room for our own use on one evening. Pleasant lawn seating area at the rear of the hotel. Downstairs area recently refurbished and the hotel would benefit... more

The room was cleanish but the bathroom had not been cleaned for a while I don't think with lots of dust and a few hairs! The lounge was nice, but restaurant service not great and the standard of food below par. There was never a person behind the bar you had to ask to be served for each and every... more

I have just stayed here for a short break, booked on-line. It's in a great location, the hotel is well run, clean and comfortable although the furniture in the rooms is a bit dated. The staff very attentive and helpful and the restuarant is great too. Lovely garden outside - a pool is the only thing it's really missing. more
