We stayed at the Mayfield for two nights on a room only basis as we were visiting my daughter who is at University in Bournemouth. We had two rooms, a family room and a double with a four poster bed(!) both of which were more than adequte for our needs. The hotel is in a great setting, a quiet street... More

Very Important for a hotel is to be welcoming. Indeed I was welcomed and helped. I enjoyed Bournemouth and the accommodation. The location was great and the breakfast as well. This hotel is part of the hotel where the reception is. I wish to know how the other hotel is. Maybe next time.

We are a Spanish couple with two small kids and have just spent five days in bournemouth having amazing experience at the mayfield bnb. The bedroom was very nice and clean with two beds and a private bathroom. Everything was suprisingly good and lovely taking into account such cheap price! It's close to the city centre and about the decoration... More

We had a beautiful clean room with a comfortable bed, the staff was very friendly, breakfast was excellent. Parking alongside the street in front of the hotel was no problem. I would definitely stay there again.

When we arrived at the hotel we had to pick the key up from another hotel no welcome all they where interested in was money and a deposit for the key. We found our own way to our room on the way i nearly twisted my ankle on a missing floorboard . The room was the poorest decorated room i... More

I have just returned from a 4 night stay at The Mayfield and I was very happy with all aspects of my stay. The room was clean and well presented and although the room wouldn't win prizes for the decor it was more than adequate for our needs. The en- suite was fine, and the shower was good, the bed... I travelled with two others for a night out in Bournemouth. I was pleasantly surprised how good the location was, we could walk to the station in a short time and had a slow stroll down to the beach and town in the day, although got a taxi back after a night out and it cost around £7/8. We had... More

What a great little place. I stayed here for over one month and was impressed with the overall value and convenience of the Mayfield Hotel. I would stay here again. The manager was very accomodating when I arrived, any issues were resolved in a reasonable amount of time. The decor is definately unforgettable! Keep in mind that this is a... More

What a bargain this place is, while the mismatching decor is a little odd our room was clean and fresh with everything you could want, we paid £26 for the room and I would definitely stay here again. :-)
