Returning back to Bournemouth after a couple of years. We were looking around for a hotel to stay in and once we come across this hotel, as we first entered the door we felt welcomed and so homely that the manager of the hotel Sandra, her continuously smiling put a smile on our face. She helped us through all our... More

Arrived to a very welcoming and friendly Sandra, shown to our very nice Room number 2 followed by a nice cup of tea in the lounge. We were here with friends and were attending a gig at the O2 Academy and was in an ideal location for us. Slept well, followed by a good value full english breakfast which was... More

What can I say? My weekend stay at the Woodlands was perfection from start to finish. So very very pleasant in every way from the welcoming tray of tea to the offer to carry my bag down, and the chance to have early breakfasts when I wanted. Also a mine of information on the area and help with taxi numbers.... More

The proprietor, Sandra, was very helpful, friendly and went out of her way to make our stay comfortable. Our party included two invalid ladies and their comfort was priority and Sandra made their visit a most enjoyable one. Our rooms were clean, well decorated with comfy beds and good facilities. We booked initially for bed and breakfast but had evening... More

My husband and I went to stay for three nights recently and Sandra, the owner, could not have been more welcoming, even upgrading our room on arrival. Our room was bright, airy and clean and the bed very comfortable. The weather was on the cool side but the room was cosy and good heating meant we were neither too hot... More

Warm welcome even at 9.45 pm when I arrived. Comfortable, clean room and quiet location. Helpful owner who made every effort to ensure your stay was relaxing and offered early breakfast as 9.00 start to course on Sat and Sun. Lovely breakfast in a sunny room overlooking the garden. Short walk to the beach although I was there for a... More

There was no one there to let us in when we arrived. Our estimated time of arrival was 2pm and we arrived at 2.35pm. After sitting outside for 15mins a woman came to the door to let us in. She did not introduce herself and was extremely rude because we had not arrived at 2pm, saying she had to go... More

Foam chip filled pillows, old stained mattress - cold room. This was not the way we wanted to celebrate our engagement. Not a sign of the free range chickens "Be careful not to trip over them" it said on the web page. You could not even trip over another resident - there just weren't any !!!!! Come to think of...
