A really friendly place, staff friendly and welcoming nothing to much trouble. I was keen to see for myself as my son had told me so much about how he has been cared for since his wife passed away and before when he took her to the Grove for little breaks. I was not disappointed the whole experiece was fantastic... More

Just got home from a fantastic Turkey and Tinsel weekend for the recently Bereaved at The Grove Bournemouth. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The weekend started (Thursday) with a cocktail party and dinner by candle light. The following day there was a trip to Wimborne market in the morning or a local garden centre in the afternoon.... Amazing food, always a daily roast and other choices. I want the recipe for the scrambled egg!!! My efforts fall well short of their creamy delight. Plenty of starter choices and deserts. The room we had was larger than the last time but we did give more notice. Singers provided 2 evenings of entertainment, and we enjoyed 3 days out... More

We chose to stay at the Grove after it was recommended by my Macmillan Nurse. I have never stayed at a hotel that has a tranquil feel as soon as you walk through the door irrespective of how many people were about. As everyone staying there are "in the same boat" so to speak, you feel comforted by the fact... More

We cannot praise this hotel highly enough. My wife has lung cancer and COPD so this hotel suited our needs perfectly, particularly as there is a nurse available should we need one. The staff could not be more helpful or friendly. The room was perfect as was the food. We have already booked a room in December for our return... More

Really enjoyed our stay and cannot praise the staff enough. Even got a lovely hug goodbye from the Duty Manager on Sunday morning when we left. This is the first break my husband and I have had since I was diagnosed with a cancerous lump in my left breast last July. Thank you everyone for making us feel so welcome.

We had Irish dancing display and had a go ourselves. Some whizzed off around Bournemouth on their scooters whilst others followed on foot.
